Does Buff sell dial direct to end user? Or does it have to go through a TD? I have a PPF with stock white dial that I am seriously looking at swapping to the Buff Blue after going through these posts.

Did any one have problems fitting a BUFF dial onto a PPF?

Update:

Just heard directly from Buff and he said: 3k: can be installed.

PPF: can not install.

Installed successfully! FYI it requires dial dots/epoxy, there were no dial feet on the dial.

Overall my conclusions: a 3K dial is AWESOME, and acceptable as an option. If you want a finely finished dial and see yourself as a perfectionist, then it is worth the premium to pick this up as there is a notable difference -

- finer sunburst
- Color more consistent throughout various angles compared to gen

Amazing, I am looking forward to my full Hybrid Green from AMF with their dial so I am sure it will be great as well

So much fun sending buff messages then getting Chinese text back until you translate it and it says 'sorry, not available'

Out of interest, has anyone been able to make a BUFF dial work on the PPF? If so, what modifications needed to be done?

Do you think the date wheel was worth the expense? They look very similar to me.

I can’t figure out how to order Buff parts. My TD says he can’t order them. How do you do it without WeChat? Shouldn’t be this hard

Try JTime. However, they have markup (as every other TD I suppose).

Date wheel was cheaper than my original source for the other one.

I recommend it over the standard 3K one.

Im trying to figure out is a strait PPF build better than a 3kf build with a buff dial. I was told by amf that the buff dial can fit once its modded in the ppf but now im confused which is best lol.

Does the Buff date wheel fit the 3KF aquanaut 5167-1A?.

I think all custom datewheels made for the 3KF Patek 324 clone movement should fit all reps with that movement. However, some modding work might be neccessary for a proper DW alignement.

Decided to send off my 3kf to BUFF to get the works... Not penny pinching at the moment and I've fallen in love with the 5711 so I'm going to be getting him to do the works. Just receieved it from Hont and the movement is a bit dodgy. Hont agreed to the return of course but since I need to send it back to China anyway I've decided to go all in with a BUFF overhaul.

Here's what I'm getting:
  • BUFF Blue Dial
  • BUFF Datewheel
  • BUFF Hands
  • Complete re-finishing
  • Movement noise reduction
For 4500. He's going to service the movement for an additional 500.

Possibly steep, but I'm not too bothered on this one. I'm never going to get the original so I can throw a bit of cash at making the best possible facsimile
