Yah those crown guards are HUGE!! I dont see that as a problem but an opportunity. There is alot of material to work with to which you can easily shape into the crown guard of your choice. broad, eagle beak pcg the world is your oyster ...pun intended lol

Nice Chamfers on the lugs as well.
mid case looks nice and slim.
5.3 mm crown
fits 27.3-27.5mm dials
DWO is needed for 2836 movements.

He also offers a mk2 matte dial to pair with this set.

I will be building one and doing a review , stay tuned !

This could be a fun project but too bad the CGs will require such a lot of work.

Here is a link to a whole bunch of 1675 cases to find some CGs you like.

This one has CGs about as large as I can tolerate, this case looks just right for me.

DAMMIT, filling my Raffles cart as we speak, and you had to bring this up...
Interesting that it doesn't take the standard Raffles 28-29mm dials, but closer to the gen size.

Ordered two cases and hand sets, and one dial.

Going to try the Raffles dial on one, and a gilt dial on the other. This Raffles order has been...memorable...lol.

Price is amazing but someone must do a tutorial on how to work on those crown guards with non profesional tools.

You just need
a dremel with the workstation
sanding drums from 240 to 600
good quality needle hand files
buffing and polishing sticks

you can go to the 5513 tutorial thread
Exactly! Just quickly playing around with the image, these can be pretty easily shaped into good looking CGs.

I understand the request for a tutorial.

You need to disassemble the watch and remove the tube from the case to be able to work freely

Once you have done it a couple of times, it becomes matter of fact...but I remember how nervous I was on my first case

It's (relatively) easy to remove metal...but it takes quite a bit more skill, tools, and talent to add it back.

The simplest way to "fix" the crown guards is to get a small metal file and a picture of a genuine 1675. File away the crownguards until they look close enough to the real thing to satisfy you. Then polish away the tool marks and put everything back together. As mentioned before, It's best to do this with the crown and tube ( and bezel assembly) removed, and power tools like a dremel make the process a lot faster (with a considerably higher risk of things going wrong, however, if you're not careful).

The 1675 had more than a few different shapes of crown guards. So there's a little bit of wiggle room with accuracy. It's one I have in gen, but as I get further and further into this hobby, the real joy, for me, comes from making a replica as close to gen as possible.

Ignore me - was on the wrong site! Would be great if they started doing more cases for gen-spec dials e.g. 26mm Subs
