Great point mentioning the curved plates too. I'm sure many people have bent their plates for a better wrist curvature and then didn't know why the clasp wouldn't close.We talking BV but I guess it would work too.
Yes of course, take small pliers and carefully bend these points to the interior.
If it is still not enough you can also play (very carefully) with the bending of the curved plates but be careful to not f up the shape of it.
