Hear me on this...
I've been here since about day 3 or 4 (had to delete the first account due to a vindictive ex-wife during the divorce). If you weren't here during 07, 08 or 09, then some of you don't know, which was the reason why I chimed in yesterday. The reason why this is taken seriously is because tens of thousands of dollars in money and watches was jacked. Look up some of the aliases this dude (Chef) used. These are other people, but look up Drmmaster. Look up RBJ. I was there for all of it, and I lost money and watches. Some folks like Sam and others just don't understand this. These decisions aren't made on a whim. Trust me, we have the resources to deal with this, which is why it was dealt with and Chef was banned...again.
And you've got Sam going apeshit defending a known scammer on this and other boards, including Gens. Just because you didn't get screwed over by Chef doesn't mean that he won't screw over someone in the future. It's the folks here (and other places) that remain vigilant that keeps the bad juju from happening. And it's folks like Sam and others who defend this guy that doesn't help matters, not to mention the name calling.
Unless you've met someone from here, face to face, you don't know them. They're nothing more than words on a screen. And unless you deal with them on a regular basis, in person or on the phone, you still don't know them. While there are honorable people here, myself included (because there are people here who know me in person), there is also dishonor amongst us. It is up to the leadership to deal with this, as well as the countless others here who support this forum, to keep this element from our midst.
