Did you notice how seldom we put something like " you have this amount of time to fix" only to then be afraid to forget about looking back 2 hrs later and edit in the missing things into the sale, because the seller forgot it or didn't read the rules? Well we hardly do that. Why? We decided to nuke sales with any flaw because we mods like to sleep too, and sometimes see family.I think Syd might have also been p*issed off due to the handling of it. Sometimes people forget to tag their sales threads or other innocent mistakes and mods will post something like "You have 2 hours to update your tags", "No pics of movement so will change description to stated unless you can upload a pic of the swiss movement" etc.
Instead his whole thread was nuked rather than giving him an opportunity to edit it or have a mod remove an 'illegal' comparison shot. Seems a bit unfair IMO especially seeing he has been a member longer than most of the mods and should deserve some leniency over a trivial matter such as that.
I'm honestly not trying to sound like a grumpy git, but after editing other peoples mistakes on a now 45000 member forum, it kindda drags the life out of you.
So folks, if you get nuked, just get over it, there's really nothing personal about it at all. Just a mod that wants to look at an issue, nuke it, and be over it.
Isn't it more fair that the member who made the mistake reposts, rather than the mod that notices the mistake, first sends the seller a pm, then check for a reply, quite possibly from a guy in a different timezone, then gets his reply with the missibg tagged pic or whatever, then edits the faulty post for the poster, and makes the thread visible again, to then repeat this exact sequence for 5 ot. Her sales........ooooops, there goed my day
Just look at it from a practical point of view. You poop, YOU scoop.
We love you guys, but we also love looking at watches more than scooping other peoples poop
