Uh oh sorry to hear it. On the other hand no workee no money I guess. Hopefully you can avoid the hot areas, it is brutal is some places right now. My brother is in Palm Springs cause he can play golf cheap there in the summer, if he survives that is. 116 degrees there :lolcina:

Think, I don't use the sand box thing too often and I'm not trying to be elitist. To me it just fit the mood of the thread.
If you break a rule or we interpret it as a violation, you are going to be held accountable for it by the staff.
We do look over this feedback and I did have some guidance for IDK. Was he a bit overzealous? Quite possibly. I will personally watch over him and listen to any feedback given, by you our membership, preferably via PM.
Guys, we work for you and we volunteer to do this stuff with no pay. We aren't perfect. That's why I say try and work it out.

I think Syd might have also been p*issed off due to the handling of it. Sometimes people forget to tag their sales threads or other innocent mistakes and mods will post something like "You have 2 hours to update your tags", "No pics of movement so will change description to stated unless you can upload a pic of the swiss movement" etc.
Instead his whole thread was nuked rather than giving him an opportunity to edit it or have a mod remove an 'illegal' comparison shot. Seems a bit unfair IMO especially seeing he has been a member longer than most of the mods and should deserve some leniency over a trivial matter such as that.

His sale was nuked a couple days before for the exact same thing. ...in any case this is resolved and we've moved on to humorous sarcasm.

And I hate when the crap hits the fan because member abuse created problems for other members, and we, the owners of the sandbox, are charged with fixing everyone's problems because people decided not to follow the rules. I guess that is why we lay out some simple guidelines and just ask everyone to follow them.
Good thing is that we have good people like Syd, and you, and many others who understand this concept and before long we are back to talking about watches. A testament to true forum brothership.
Why dont we just handle sales like speeding in an automobile, the police wont pull you over so long as you dont break the law too bad, driving 3 or 4 over isnt so bad is it? It just sucks when you run into 1 or 2 of the 15 police officers who are just doing the job they were told to do and they pull you over anyway and enforce the law that everyone is aware of.
The good news for the driver is that he will always find someone to rally behind his cause when he makes it to work because police officers are jerks!!
