VirginiaWatchFan said:Well, my watch is on its way to Flav for installation. I got the 45mm blued hands, the cali dial and acrylic crystals. We're going to choose a nice movement for it. I can't wait to see what he does with it.
Oh, and the solution to the thread problem is spring bars... that's hooligan!
Finished product in a couple of weeks, then pictures galore.
Wow, 37.2mm!VirginiaWatchFan said:Alright, Flav has put the watch together (still working on the movement). The acrylic that fits is 37.2. He says it fits snugly, but very well. I may have pictures later this evening.
These would be 37.6mm. Get the Sternkreuz HW 376, and since they cost like 2 pounds, get a bunch of different sizes. 374 376 378... I got like dozen of them for backup. In my experience, I found the 376 the one that fit best. If it is too tight, shave off 1mm with sandpaper.Sorry that ι wake such an old thread but i need your help.
I bought a mini fiddy from Jackson 3 years now. I thought that was a great base for me
while i wanted to built an eggiziano picolo at 44mm. (44.5 in reality)
I manage to acchive a nice acceptable result btw.
Since i like to wear it all the time, i break my third crystal and i like to have a back up or try one with AR or some plexi.
I never measure the ddomed that came with... i also don't know the size of ddomes that i have on it afterwards.
Today my mechanic told me that he measures with pressision 37.5mm the internal diameter of the bezel...
I don't know much but it was came without flange, just the crystal in the bezel and never had problems.
I thought that doesn't need something like that and when i realise that my next crystals was having some glu (coundn't be noticed closed)
i thought that was an piece of mind touch from the service guys.
If anyone knows anything about the size or another thread that this was discussed, please inform me.
Thanks!

Best of luck. Is the crystal you got sapphire or mineral? If you factor in the gasket, it will not fit. You can fit it in without a gasket but it won’t be much waterproof, you could use some UV glue though.Papabear, thank you!
I already make an order for some crystals 37.5mm that i will use to verify its' measures. I hope that will be some hundrents more
than what they said and fit.
I like to see a proper plexi on it soon but since i already order crystals i 'll be patience.
My best wishes for the new year!
Thanks! i order some minerals. Sapphire with quality AR it's pricey. I think i 'll try plexi soon, i need the dome with impact ressistance.Best of luck. Is the crystal you got sapphire or mineral?
