Total was about 15 pounds with shipping, right? So, ~$30. Not bad.

No reason for you not to wait. I should have the whole package of components in the next couple weeks or so.

i have a gorgeous mini fiddy from andrew . eta 6497 . runs 2 sec in 4 days :) i picked it up to wear it 4 days ago and my thumb was pushing on the crystal . it did not explode ! it just went klick! and the entire center of it out to the bezel fell out as 1 piece! when u guys find the correct size and source , i would appreciate knowing . i prefer acrylic as it will be a better look with the dial :)
im going to have a calif dial installed at the same time . who do u suggest i send it too ?
thanks for the help :)

Hey, we understand. It's something to think about. Honestly, though, these repalcement crystals are so inexpensive that once we figure out what the correct size is there should be no reason at all to delay.

Wow, it seems I just setup quite a good little business for cousinsuk. I'll ask them for a participation on sale gains :D.

Out of joke, honestly I don't think this is a glass-vs-sapphire issue. On other forums I heard about exploding sapphires and no exploding glasses. This would even make sense, being sapphire harder than glass vs scratches only, not vs crashes.

What I personally feel is that cousins' glasses and acrylics are so inexpensive that even if one had to replace them 2 or 3 times a year, they would still be worth.

I didn't know DSN offered any other plexi crystals, Enzo. Let alone an RWC Radiomir rep! Why's he holding out on us?

Gotcha. Well, thanks for the assist! I'd bet that the 37mm might be a tad too big and the 36.8 a tad too small. Either could probably be "made" to fit.

If the crystal is a little too small, the teflon gasket on which it sits should compensate for that small difference.
If the crystal is a little too large, no way.
So, better going for the smaller size than the larger.

Uh oh! Mine just came in for the project watch and the threads were stripped. Plus the holes were so close to the case that I couldn't fit any straps on it. We'll give it another go and see what happens. I've already ordered crystals, hands, dial and a movement. But my case is screwed!

I'm not going to sweat it yet, though, fellas. I'm pretty sure I'll get it worked out.

Well, my watch is on its way to Flav for installation. I got the 45mm blued hands, the cali dial and acrylic crystals. We're going to choose a nice movement for it. I can't wait to see what he does with it.

Oh, and the solution to the thread problem is spring bars... that's hooligan!

Finished product in a couple of weeks, then pictures galore.
