You surpass me on some points. I'm not good in aging things. Your hands for example. I love the result on the case too.

I'm good to make dials only...

Nice work & great watch! I'm new to this. How do you age the plexi?

Assuming you don't want to tint it, you just rub it gently with a few different grit sandpapers (from rougher to finer) and then polish it with capecod or polywatch.

The reason you have a gap around the bezel is that you used the hws plexi, which has a step, if you use the hw it has no step.

Stunning results sir, I am partial to the four liner with white and gold writing. I also love the process from start to finish with it always getting better. Bravo sir

I've been trying my own big crown build for the last couple of weeks,it was going quite well until I tried to change my dial and hands and I broke my movement trying to fit them. So I had to get a new movement.
I'm at a dead end now though as I just don't have the skills to do it and I've pm'd a few Modders on the forum to see if they can finish my project, unfortunately so far I have had no replys from any of them.
Not sure what my next step is but I'm disappointed that my project has so far ended in badly [emoji2]

Breaking a movement is only.one.of the things that can go bad building a watch and trust me, if you'll keep working on watches you will experience the full spectrum

Don't give up just because of this difficulty, wait for your new movement and try again.
Anyway if you're in EU and willing to ship abroad I think I can help.

That's great I am in uk (so still on eu for a while yet) I bought another 6538 from a member here, maybe once it gets here I can send it to you with the dial I got, that would save me another broken cannon pinion [emoji4]

A BC dial would be a great improvement, I can't wait to put mine in my next build :)

You did a great job, it looks fantastic! I want to build my first vintage rolex this year. How did you age the plexi? I've been experimenting with sandpaper and cape cod. Is there another way?

Sorry, no. But I too know how to get a broken drill bit INSIDE lug holes

I did my first watch ok but the second one the bit swapped without even leaving anything to grab to pull it out;I tried to drill it but no luck, I might buy a ball burr or something like that to try
