Yes, just like yours except the dial doesn't have "Automatic" wrote on it. Everything else is the same. Seagull/Doomed crystal/Same hands/Same second subdial marking. (with numbers, not lines like the "newer" version)

I never seen this version before (without Automatic wrote on the dial) It was the biggest "flaw" for me on yours. I couldn't pass on it this time (anyway, it's so hard to find now)

I should have it in a week or so, if customs are friendly.

Great find indeed, I've never seen such dial, either. But then again... "Automatic" doesn't bother me, unless it's printed on a quartz rep.

Please post pictures when you receive it. :)

Sweet collection. I'm in the market for about half of your Omega Collection. The one thing I think you are missing is something in dressy and BIG. Something like the Railmaster XXL.

Your reviews and pictures are going to coast me a lot of money. Waiting for WBK next shipment of the black GMT, looking at all the POs (just trying to make up my mind on which color to get) and last but not least the SMP Chrono.

Also, looking at your picture again it seems you have been wearing the GMT and the PO and neglecting the rest.

Wow... what a good observation!!! You guys notice EVERYTHING. However the pic was taken before the New Year (as you can see from the PO date). Lately I've been wearing my SMP chrono. ;)

Thanks all. And just to kill boredom... here are the "glamour shots" of them all. You have probably seen them before... but enjoy the watch porn anyway... ;)

WOWOWOWOW!!

Hey By-Tor!

That is a real nice collection. I'm going to try to take a group pic of my Omega family.

Just for the record, this is what my collection is made up of:

ORGS
Mid Size two tone SMP automatic
Full size black SMP quartz
Speedmaster Day/Date

REPS
4th Gen PO orange bezel
blue faced SMP GMT
black faced SMP GMT

NEXT UP AT BAT
I'm seriously considering the full sized PO with the black face and bezel, just like yours.

watch winding

How do you keep your watches in good working order?? Do watchwinders play any part and what is your opinion of watch winders in general :?:

Hi Paula (is that your name?)... I don't have a watch winder. Basically I just wear a watch for a day or two, and then pick up another... set the date and time and put it on my wrist. I try to keep my collection rather small (compared to most members here)... thus all my watches get wrist time... they're in constant "rotation".

I've never had a mechanical problem with a rep (except in my Tudor which didn't have a standard ETA movement we get in our reps). And even that was quickly fixed by my trusted watchsmith and friend Tommy (Palp).

It's :
1. The SMP (Seamaster Pro)
2. The SMP Chrono ( Seamaster Pro Chronograph)
3. Broad Arrow White/Blue.. Good luck to find that one.. I was very happy and surprised to finally get it last week.

@lacoste:

The "old batch" Seamaster that's shown in the first picture is virtually impossible to get anymore. Same goes with the "Venus/Seagull" Speedmaster. These are "out of production" reps just like Vric said. Very difficult to find... except through occasional member trades.

The current rep model of the ETA "Bond" Seamaster is almost as good though.

ByTor, you really have an excellent collection! I envy you. They are definetely a keeper... If I had to choose, the SMP Bond Auto is definetely a classic... beating a Submariner (sorry if I offend someone, just my 2 cents here).

Thanks Taka.

And I agree... the hell freezes over before I part with my Bond Seamaster. I like it so much that I'd buy the genuine in a heartbeat if the rep wasn't so good. It's not the "flashiest" watch in the world but it's very elegant and sporty at the same time. A real classic.

The new reps come and go... some lose their appeal over time, some don't... but the Bond SMP always impresses me when you put it on your wrist after a break. I really like the chronograph version too, and it's a magnificient rep and a keeper for me... but it's quite bulky and massive... and unlike the standard SMP it doesn't go very well with a suit.

That is certainly true... Accuracy to the gen doesn't guarantee the most wrist time (as it's happening to my own Tag Link Chrono). I keep going back to only a select few watches (Omega PO included). I think it's time to reform my collection.
