My 4th and Last Purchase from Intime

After multiple purchases from Intime the 4th will also be the last.

My first choice was a PAM 356 which also was my first purchase from a dealer of any kind. I went in with much trepidation and caution as you can read in some of my early posts here on RWI.

Eventually I overcame my fear after reading much ado about Ryan and Intime. So I set about choosing a watch and after came the first issue however minor as the watch was shipped w/o ever receiving QC pics.

In that case I a little over reacted as I contacted Trailboss with my issue and concern. He assured me this was not how a TD operates. I settled down sat back and awaited my shipment. After arrival my fears were squelched as all was right with the watch.

Order #2 was PAM 505 which from beginning to today was perfect...I even got the model used in the ad for the watch and still one of my fav reps.

Now order #3 is where it starts to go bad. Many have read my issue with my first rep purchase ever...the AP diver V 3.5. That very watch was how I even found out about RWI and the rep market but thats another story. Well anyway I tried to impress to Ryan my fondness for this watch and how much I wanted this to be as close to perfect as possible. He politely answered my emails and seemed to understand. I paid and received my 1st QC pics and politely rejected due to bezel alignment and poor quality screws.

I then received a second set and all looked great including recessed screws so I accepted and waited for my favorite watch. In 9 days it arrived and I sat on sofa to open. Watch was well packed and even had a plastic case cover much like you get with Panerai but after removing the first thing I noticed was not one but three different scratches on the bezel. They are in proximity to the bezel screws and look like little screw driver slips. I immediately contacted Ryan and let him know that my new watch was sent with what looked like a used bezel. The worst part was I know someone at Intime was aware because and attempt to rectify one of the scratches is very apparent as they used a Capecod cloth or such. As many here know there is grain on an AP bezel and you cannot polish against it with out it showing.

Ryan says he does not agree and that QC pics do not show scratches. This is True but anyone can use light and direction to hide things in photos. I wanted a new watch as I started to distrust someone who is not accepting responsibility for what appears to be shady dealing . All he eventually offered was to send a new bezel which will still cost me extra money since I will need to have someone install as I do not have a crystal press or know the how even if I did.

Now the final straw comes with order #4....a FC v3 which was ordered and paid for prior to the issue from order #3 and yesterday arrived DOA!

I understand that happens sometimes even though for the life of me how a watch keeping time going into a box comes out of that box dead. My biggest issue on top of other issues is that the watch arrived dead in exactly to the second same time (to the second) as one of the QC pics which proves it left Intime and Jordan that way. Coincidence...I think not!

I no longer trust so I can no longer promote or do business with Intime. It seems more bad then good comes along with this hobby and by it's very nature I guess in the end makes sense.

Aren't you supposed to fill out a ticket or contact a mod or something first before ranting????????

Let's get to the real issue here for the noobs sake because this stinks, bad.

I know with all expectations of undamaged, and working merchandise for my money...how dare I.

Not sure how old you are , but I've received damaged goods in the mail from so many sources. I've also shipped goods in perfect condition to friends and family. Only to have them arrive obliterated. There's a member here whom I recently sent a bottle of a Microbrew. It arrived in a plastic bag full of glass. You need to wake up a bit and make your demands more realistic. Your other choice is to find another hobby. No TD here has a magic shipping carrier who will snuggle with your watch between their tits, all the way till it gets to your precious hands.

All I have to say is, your luck here, has happened to me with every dealer I have ever dealt with. DOA's are common. In fact I have one with Trevor right now. Yes it sucks, but it happens. Not everyone is always going to agree with you all the time either.

My age has less to with situation then your reading comprehension has to with your understanding what I wrote . And by tone you take with most here I also doubt you bend over and take getting poor service in your life without saying or trying to do something about it.

I also thought this thread was to give truth good or bad regarding hobby for others to dissect or may have had similar but were afraid to say.

Well done TxRob and thanks...this is what can be garnered from my post by reading what I wrote and not reading through rose colored glasses of others cause they have more invested in one entity vs the other.

I am totally okay with your post AP Boy. This is what makes RWI great. Don't get me wrong, I don't have an issue with you, anything you like or the road you are on.What I am saying is is that 2 out of 4 bad is scaring me. What is the real problem. The V19's? The dealer? The builder? The expectations? What IS the problem because this is disturbing. Thicken up mate. Public negative posts gather flames. It is just the way it is.
I hope the best for you and your trudge thru rep'dom though.

Please enlighten me on what I personally have invested , and in which entity ? I'll be very curious to read your response.

Then that would be the first time so far in this thread. This is more about my distrust then about a broken rep watch.

You take issue with me but not in the fact a watch was damaged in China, attempted poorly at a fix and then shipped to me by a TD anyway (there was no way the watch bezel was scratched near screws in shipping with a protective plastic cover on it)

The same TD you support and deal with. I wonder what side of face you would have been on if this were the TD inhale read you bash repeatedly?

You are allowed to post here, yes, this is the proper section. It goes both ways. You get Bimmer as well as the rest of us to comment as well. This is not a flame free zone, however I suggest folks keep it civil. Thanks in advance.

By starting the post I understood that there would be pros and cons, I know I typed a lot of words but at the core of my post is my issue to the apparent dishonesty!

I have already sent off the watch to a modder at my own expense to have problem with DOA addressed on my own...same advice I gave someone on RWI earlier in the week.

I dont doubt your thesis brother.
Its just that Ryan is a crazy m***++r that (in my eyes) is one of the best TD's out there.
His honesty always makes me wonder.
Last watch i received he sent me 5 watches. I rejected first 3, and accepted the 4th.
Then HE rejected the 4th cuz there was a flaw that i missed.
He then sent me 5th watch to look.

With that kind of service, i can only think that you had bad luck.
He is not a bad guy.

I hope the best outcome for your problem.

You should take pictures of the bezel with supposed scratches and post it here.
DOA could happen with any dealer, mate, but I do feel your pain.
