After multiple purchases from Intime the 4th will also be the last.
My first choice was a PAM 356 which also was my first purchase from a dealer of any kind. I went in with much trepidation and caution as you can read in some of my early posts here on RWI.
Eventually I overcame my fear after reading much ado about Ryan and Intime. So I set about choosing a watch and after came the first issue however minor as the watch was shipped w/o ever receiving QC pics.
In that case I a little over reacted as I contacted Trailboss with my issue and concern. He assured me this was not how a TD operates. I settled down sat back and awaited my shipment. After arrival my fears were squelched as all was right with the watch.
Order #2 was PAM 505 which from beginning to today was perfect...I even got the model used in the ad for the watch and still one of my fav reps.
Now order #3 is where it starts to go bad. Many have read my issue with my first rep purchase ever...the AP diver V 3.5. That very watch was how I even found out about RWI and the rep market but thats another story. Well anyway I tried to impress to Ryan my fondness for this watch and how much I wanted this to be as close to perfect as possible. He politely answered my emails and seemed to understand. I paid and received my 1st QC pics and politely rejected due to bezel alignment and poor quality screws.
I then received a second set and all looked great including recessed screws so I accepted and waited for my favorite watch. In 9 days it arrived and I sat on sofa to open. Watch was well packed and even had a plastic case cover much like you get with Panerai but after removing the first thing I noticed was not one but three different scratches on the bezel. They are in proximity to the bezel screws and look like little screw driver slips. I immediately contacted Ryan and let him know that my new watch was sent with what looked like a used bezel. The worst part was I know someone at Intime was aware because and attempt to rectify one of the scratches is very apparent as they used a Capecod cloth or such. As many here know there is grain on an AP bezel and you cannot polish against it with out it showing.
Ryan says he does not agree and that QC pics do not show scratches. This is True but anyone can use light and direction to hide things in photos. I wanted a new watch as I started to distrust someone who is not accepting responsibility for what appears to be shady dealing . All he eventually offered was to send a new bezel which will still cost me extra money since I will need to have someone install as I do not have a crystal press or know the how even if I did.
Now the final straw comes with order #4....a FC v3 which was ordered and paid for prior to the issue from order #3 and yesterday arrived DOA!
I understand that happens sometimes even though for the life of me how a watch keeping time going into a box comes out of that box dead. My biggest issue on top of other issues is that the watch arrived dead in exactly to the second same time (to the second) as one of the QC pics which proves it left Intime and Jordan that way. Coincidence...I think not!
I no longer trust so I can no longer promote or do business with Intime. It seems more bad then good comes along with this hobby and by it's very nature I guess in the end makes sense.
