I dont doubt your thesis brother.
Its just that Ryan is a crazy m***++r that (in my eyes) is one of the best TD's out there.
His honesty always makes me wonder.
Last watch i received he sent me 5 watches. I rejected first 3, and accepted the 4th.
Then HE rejected the 4th cuz there was a flaw that i missed.
He then sent me 5th watch to look.

With that kind of service, i can only think that you had bad luck.
He is not a bad guy.

I hope the best outcome for your problem.

I wish you could read all the great emails back and forth he and I had...I have posted positively for him here as well and he knew I initially trusted him cause I told him so.

I also have not directly pointed the finger @ Ryan...only at Intime, maybe Ryan is not directly involved but the one who unfortunately left the burden upon me and not at the possibility of someone else within his employ.

You should take pictures of the bezel with supposed scratches and post it here.
DOA could happen with any dealer, mate, but I do feel your pain.

These are the exact pics I sent him within minutes of opening to package.

Taking clearer (and maybe larger) pictures of the watch would definitely improve things. As they are, I can only make out the scratch near the bezel edge at the 4 o'clock marker and the many hairs you have on your wrist.

To be quite honest those scratches are quite obvious. If anyone received a watch like this they would be upset. Cant deny that.

That's a pretty substantial scratch (gouge may be a better word) at the 4. That would have been a deal breaker for me too.

Do you have the QC pictures they sent you? No scratch at the 4 I presume?

DOA watches happen, it's just a part of this hobby but I don't blame you on that scratch.

I feel for you bro.
Since starting here, I've already bought 5 watches, 2 from puretime, 2 from sora, 1 from m2m. And I have issues with both td's, and it is quite frustrating the way they treat you, even being a returning customer, that the trust you give is not reciprocated back, is not valued enough.
From the way I see it, being a business, they just want to dispose of their bad stock, the ones that they cannot return to the factories, the ones left from the picking.
You just have to deal with it, and move on. Move on to another td. A lot of patience is needed here too, since sometimes they don't quite understand what the hell you want or are trying to convey, since english is not their primary language.
Me, I'm still looking for my "perfect" td, a td with as little frustrations and headaches as possible.

I'd be upset . I also know that I choose to play this game. Guys, we should all know that anything can happen when we buy a watch. Right?

At least the dealer offered a new bezel. Did he offer for you to send it back too?

I understand being upset about the scratch. However, the DOA is just part of this game....

But, I do think your expectations are a bit unrealistic. This isn't walmart, you can't just expect a refund for any and every reason you deem worthy. If he hadn't offered you a new bezel, I could understand your anger... But what more do you want? Please remember these dealers are doing illegal things to get you your watch. Mailing things back and forth is the last thing they really want to do and I don't blame them. For what it's worth, I have bought 5 or 6 watches from Ryan and have been more than satisfied with each purchase.

IMO it is the acceptance of getting f'd in this game that continues to further perpetuate that fact and getting f'd will remain the status quo.

Offering a new bezel was the least of what should have been done after knowingly sending out a damaged watch. And as to the DOA...just because this happens doesn't make it acceptable but sending a watch that in a QC pic has the exact time and date as when it arrived to me clearly shows something else...goodnight!

But on a serious note, it just sounds like reps may not be for you. You aren't going to get AD service paying 1/20th of the price.

Stuff happens, sometimes. However, I will not buy into any consensus where it's OK to knowingly send out damaged or inoperative product. That's just not right.

I never got an answer to my question. It's incredible how many of us have been here for years , and figure out how to deal with the DOA issue without a charade.

As far as the bezel , I doubt Ryan or any TD would purposely send that to you. I've dealt with Ryan many times. Many of us here have. Your vision of the rep world is quite skewed.
