Do you have any tips or know of any tutorials on modding the lugs? I’ve been looking for assistance on another thread:

16233 build / Raffles 2824 holes case questions / H4 questions

Does anyone have tips on reshaping the lugs on the Raffles 2824 case? Below is a pic of that case on top of my gen 16613 sub. The datejust lugs should be a similar shape. What is the method for this mod?

Those two Are gens mate. But any watch Smith should easily be able to polish the lugs close to gen. I have polished few lugs myself.
U Can pm me if u want and i Can show some before and after pics. I just did a 16233 that looked like shit. I reprofiled the lugs so even now that they Got polished and lost material they still look thicker.

+1, did exactly the same and found the project really well put together. Wouldn't have been my dial of choice but tastes differ.
I think it works better on leather and is also more wearable. I'm also looking to do a franken DD but am pondering between this and buying a gen at approx. 13kEUR which one finds often.

To mimic the "old style" look like here,
you need for an ETA2836 or an A2836 movement an GEN 3155 day disc cause of the change direction of the 2836
So you need cause of the day-change a 3155 disc cause of Mon-Tue-Wed .... correct change direction.

A skilled watchmaker / modder can modify a GEN 3155 disc to fit it the 2836 movement.

i have to be honest with you.. i dont understand what you are trying to tell me.

Of cause i need a eta 2836 and a gen day/date disc. But the change direction is the same for the eta disc and the gen disc. So my question was, can i simply use the gen discs as an overlay?

could you please esplain your answer to me?

The 3155 disc cause of day change direction .... 2836 and 3155 have same direction (do NOT use 3055 or others!) the 3155 works.
A 3155 can be used as overlay BUT need some modification.
NOT an easy plug&play if you meant this. Some modification is needed for day changing without any "problems"
