I have the V2 and yes the dot is there.

I'm currently considering a DSOTM - JHF and OMF/OXF seem to be the only options under $600 and the quality looks OK/reasonable from pics.

Which factory is your V2 from and what do you think of it?

Sorry for the newbie questions...

Just a heads up, some of the OMF v2 DSOTM watches that have recently been advertised by TDs have a defect on the bezel. The watches are missing a dot above the 220. It’s on all 3 colorways. It is possible to find a bezel with the dot on 220.

You’re absolutely right! Just ordered, approved and shipped the vintage black OMF v2 and never noticed it! Oh well, I still think it’s beautiful. One of my QC pics for reference:

Hi, anyone got on hands this V2 ? only dot at "110" fixed ?
I love this watch... even if cost is high.
Except now OMF left the dot off the 220. I know because I have a vintage black and a black black and both are missing the dot. Wtf omf!🤦🏻‍♂️

It is possible to find a watch with most everything right in all 3 colorways. Honestly, I only noticed because I misremembered 110 and being 220. I had to come back to RWI to understand that this is a “new” flaw. Here is my approved QC:

This lighting the case looks more like grey side of the moon than dark side (which is a huge plus for me, I love the GSOTM!)

Agree. I will send you a picture once it arrives. My understanding is that it is much darker in person.

@Soundriver, @critical_

hi guys,
any experience with mentioned above speedy?

And most important is 3 o'clock subdual actually works as per gen? Does it have hour+minut hands? Because I don't see any Hour hand, all I see on a 3 o'clock dial is single Minute hand.

There's a quartz version of this watch that's far from perfect, but under $100 on Ali/DH if you're looking to scratch the itch without paying $400-600 for a significantly less than NWBIG with a 7750. To me, if it's only going to be 90% accurate to gen (instead of the 99% that we're accustomed to here), there's really no sense spending that kind of money.

As others have noted, Speedmasters don't have multiple tiers of price/quality like almost everything else (ie, you can find a Submariner at almost every price/quality level between $25 and $600). There's absolute garbage for under $50, not bad for about $100, good but flawed for $400-600, and gen.

The 110 > 220 dot issue: What a shame for such an expensive rep. I received mine just two days ago from a well known TD and the overall quality and feel of the OMF DSOTM V2 is honestly really good, and I have quite some experience with rep watches over the years. Sure, if you go microscopic, then you will find some minor other things, which in reality, you will never see when using the watch like a normal person.

The DSOTM was on my shortlist for a very long time and since the TD's have restocked this watch rather recently, I thought lets do it, I can live with the sunken-in datewheel if the QC pics are otherwise OK... and... here we are, I also overlooked the missing dot at 220, great! 🤦‍♂️
