For me, that is not major. I just can't stop looking at the double thick lines on the hour hand... But that is just me.

Mini review on the AP Forged Carbon : Noob v4 vs JF v5 (post Nov 15)

They both have their flaws. For me personally its the FC shine and patterns that is most important on this watch so for that reason alone JF wins. It is after all whats special about this watch is it not?. If your not buying it for the FC then why else are you buying it? Rather just get the SS Diver then.
I will be updating this thread again when time perhaps. I have both the noob and jf version now and I would just say this briefly:
1) the hour hand on the JF looks pretty white to me
2) the crystal on the JF does not look much better than the Noob.
By and large, the two versions are pretty close. The JF is still noiser of the 2 due to the miyota but that can be solved.
I will likely choose one of the 2 divers and get the following mods done in a few months time. These will make it closer to gen and/or a spectacular FC diver:
1) Case polishing
2) Sandblast bezel
3) Matt Crown
4) 2x AR Sapphire
JF below.
More things to come.

No, I don't feel JF case is more polished than noob. And miyota is loud when the rotor spins. 2824 is not that noiser in that aspect.

I'm starting to choose the v5 because of thin hour hands and more polished carbon on pictures. But after you say so, i'll take Noob then. Thank you

There is not much difference between the two. The noisy rotor of miyota can be easily solved by greasing.
Choose the one that appeals to you and then enjoy it.

Do you mind take a picture of Noob and JF FC diver side by side to show their FC? I think nobody has ever put that photo in the forum?
