Maybe it's just me, I'm old and I'm old skool, if I bought a watch off anyone on this Forum and it got seized by customs or lost by post I would simply think fuckin bastards them customs / theiving couriers, but no way would I expect recompense from the seller.

This is now bollocks, I fully understand the profiteering rule in M2M, and also the reasoning behind it, but the fact is this sale was conducted outside M2M by both parties.

Boot on other foot for a minute, it is now a fairly rare watch and OP would probably pay 550 if another one was found for sale.

The price isn't really double if you factor in inflation and rarity value, no one would make me believe that they paid a grand for their Comex Submariner many years ago when they were more common than Soho Brothels, but if I actually wanted a Comex Sub bad enough in 2025 I would happily pay it !!

What I'm sayin here is this isn't like anything currently available from the various factories found in M2M for sale on a C&R, it's an old and rarish rep, the guy named his price, it was the OP's grail and he happily paid it !!

That’s not the issue at hand tho. We have absolutely 0 idea where the watch is not even what country it’s in. The problem is the method that has been used which has no tracking once it enters Canada.

And like I said before I asked the seller if he could ship with FedEx or something because there is a Canada post strike but he didn’t want to. But it is what it is now. I don’t want to go on a rampage again and annoy you guys as I already have before lol. And don’t get me wrong Iam also to blame somewhat

I’ve never said I got scammed ? I initially even made the post strictly just asking for help on where It could be or what I could do. I didn’t even NameDrop the name of the seller that sold it to me until you guys told me too. I don’t understand why you’re bringing this up again.

For future references to anyone, the proper procedure to avoid this:

- post a Want to BUY
- if someone makes an offer (they should be AT LEAST CERTIFIED), have them post a RESERVED sales thread.
- be very specific about terms, including shipping. You can ask for your preferred method of shipping. If the seller disagrees and does not give you an equivalent option that has what you require (tracking, insurance), that should be enough to call the deal off.

Then and only then will RWI intervene.

This is why the WTB is restricted now.
