Umm... wow. Ok, my oldest is 2 years younger than you. Everyone has something they desire. My daughter, its random beauty supplies from tic tock as of late. @Harris1234 I would suggest you edit the picture you posted with your full name. I understand you are young so I'm not going to berate you, but I will offer some fatherly advice....invest your money into a solid mutual fund for now and let it build up. Stick around the forum, read and learn. Wait for a special occasion or milestone then treat yourself to a pretty new piece to celebrate it.

Genuinely overwhelmed by the amount of great advice
@Harris1234 I’m sorry this happened to you, and I hope you don’t get discouraged from staying on the forum and trying to contribute and learn from the best here.

If I could make a suggestion, if you really can’t afford to lose a package, only look to purchase within Canada or maybe Canada + CONUS. There are plenty of sellers in both Canada and the US, and if you were patient a Reverso would have surfaced in M2M eventually (I remember seeing the man himself Hurk selling a couple recently).

Also, the links in the new members section are worth reading (seriously). Good luck.
Very overwhelmed by the amount of great advice you guys gave me, thanks. Thing is with the Reverso specifically is that it was a rare one made in like 2016 I think. So it’s very hard to find. I’ll definitely tone down the amount of money I spend and will try only buying from Canada like you said. I was initially discouraged to stay in this forum because of one bad experience but then the abundant amount of advice and comments I got genuinely made me very happy. Don’t really have anyone in my life to have given me the advice like I have gotten the past few days within this forum. I guess I lost my watch but I gained a big love for this forum and this unfortunate situation lead to me getting incredible advice and guidance. One could say some things are priceless and worth more than money. Genuinely extremely greatful. Thank you truly

I’m genuinely 19. I swear to god I wrote tha hypothetically. I can show you my driving license or any proof you want. I’m not in uni I’m currently in Dawson college in Quebec lol. Message me I’ll show you my driving licence. I currently am planning to become a lawyer. I applied for uni this year I can show you if you want.

Young blood

More old geezer advice

1. You should not seek emotional validation from people, much less random strangers on a replica forum. When you look in the mirror while shaving, that’s the only guy whose validation you need

2. If you have a felony case on file, you will never be a lawyer. The Bar will reject you. So maybe stop the replica thing until you graduate. Or as you say, buy within Canada only

Since you've been here for a year, surely you know puretime doesn't manufacture the watches...

In fairness to the OP Angus did "commission" that watch and PT was the only place that had them. I bought 2 and IIRC they were $258. Very decent rep for the time given nobody had remotely tried to build a decent Reverso. Given it was a two hander with a solid back it lent itself well to a quartz movement. I have to say they are ones I have held onto and outside of my Ploprofs are the only reps I wouldn't sell.

The idea you'd mark it up near X2 what we KNOW you paid, @ComNero, you are the worst, and for what? A couple of hundred euros. Why? I don't get it, it's not life changing money is it?

That indeed made me angry when I read that

@ComNero
If you send half of that watch price to the kid, you would have lost no money

You deliberately chose to screw up a naive, if irritating, kid with bully selling tactics. Ok he is also in fault to have been stupid. But what you did is borderline scamming

with a lost watch, the least you could have done is to give back the profiteering amount

My view is that you should have been brigged, but given your scum ethics, I know Karma will get you one day

Iam indeed definitely to blame and have made a terrible mistake. I was desperate for it and still am as it’s my dream watch for years now. Shouldn’t have accepted the price and should’ve read the rules on profiteering and whatever. Thank you for writing this tho, makes me happy that someone understands the situation and is is stating everything fairly.

Wow 2x ? Had no clue. Insane that these watches went for such a good price back then, would’ve definitely have gotten one. Although I was only around 10 at the time lol.

Bumfuck Nowhere
I really don't know why this latest plot twist is annoying the fuck outta me, but it is :ROFLMAO:

This is now bollocks, I fully understand the profiteering rule in M2M, and also the reasoning behind it, but the fact is this sale was conducted outside M2M by both parties.

Boot on other foot for a minute, it is now a fairly rare watch and OP would probably pay 550 if another one was found for sale.

The price isn't really double if you factor in inflation and rarity value, no one would make me believe that they paid a grand for their Comex Submariner many years ago when they were more common than Soho Brothels, but if I actually wanted a Comex Sub bad enough in 2025 I would happily pay it !!

What I'm sayin here is this isn't like anything currently available from the various factories found in M2M for sale on a C&R, it's an old and rarish rep, the guy named his price, it was the OP's grail and he happily paid it !!

If the feckin' shite postal service hadn't lost or stolen it the OP would now be happy as a pig in shit ;)
