Back on the bench as I needed some parts.
I decided I loved this blue Navitimer I got from
@WatchKnob, but hated the damn gear slack on the A7750 on it... so what's the answer? Can you say... Valjoux? Actually, an ETA 7750 with 25 jewels.
But then, as always with things that should go easy, while removing the center hands, the seconds hand pinion snapped and remained inside the seconds hand. So... a new hand was sourced. Sadly, I did not find a full red one but this red-tipped one I found will suffice. Someday, I can just paint it red.
Yuuuummy. Look at that timekeeping!
After that, two water tests ensued. Who the hell water tests a Navitimer? Me, b*tch. Passed easily the 3 bar test, as per gen.
I was most surprised to see no bubbles during decompression. I obviously won't dive or anything. It's just rain and pool ready.
Look at thaaaaaat.
After that, I went ahead and lubed up my ZF 5167's gaskets and after getting
@Nikz19 advice on how easily these things pass these tests, in it went. Water tested to 4 bars or 120m as the gen. Passed with great ease.!
@oceaon, another reason why you need one!
