Simply because no one buys his BSAlso how did nobody notice he went from."walked into an AD to check" to "I wear these reps to keep my gen AP safe"?
You still didn't get it, do you. "His" AD is Walmart. Also how did nobody notice he went from."walked into an AD to check" to "I wear these reps to keep my gen AP safe"?

Hey, hey, nothing against Walmart, please!
That's where I buy the freedom bullets in excessive bulk for my 9 mil. Yeeehaaaw!
I'm sure they have exquisite high horology products as well!
To be fair to @mike1967 there is nothing wrong with sharing about improvements or mods done to reps in various ways. This is in fact a large part of what the forum is about. His work also isn't that bad, and if the refinishing work is graded a 6.5/10, it is only a 1.5 point worse than the best batch of APSF/ZF reps (which I will rate 6/10 - 8/10 depending on the specific batch), and 0.5 better than the worst batch. You don't see for example the loss of crisp edges in the factory APSF and ZF watches, which are evident in some of the watches shown by the OP. But it is ok showcasing one's passion, as no rule here mentions that you need actual talent to qualify to start such threads.Simply because no one buys his BS
I am happy to be wrong if we can all learn something new, like how AP now is in the habit of producing watches which look exactly like replicas to keep us all safe from muggers.

I won't speak to other people and the forum's constitution/rules but in my eyes it's simply bad taste.Walmart still sells freedom seeds??? The Walmarts near me banned ammo for the past 5 years now.
But serious question. Why is it frowned upon to go into the AD with a rep on? Is it just because we don't want to bring attention to our community or? I would never do it because with my luck they'd ban me for life from entering again but genuinely curious as to why.

What is there to prove by wearing a replica to an AD? That you have money? That the sales staff at ADs can't tell replicas apart from gens on wrist? That it's fun? Most of the reasons come down to ego, there is nothing good that can come from it.
Really? Wow.To be fair I can tell a rep on someone walking down 50 meters from me a the mall.
That might've been a little exaggerated on my end, but typically here in NY and in Boston I see about 100 people a day wearing an AP or a Rolex at the local Starbucks or Chipotle. I can spot a rep and a gen every time because of the way the crystals shine or the AR the gen/rep produces. I understand some would be super hard to tell, but generally I canReally? Wow.
Can you throw a football a quarter of a mile too Uncle Rico? Come on man.I see. And I agree. To be fair I can tell a rep on someone walking down 50 meters from me a the mall. Gen watches just have something about them that the rep's don't have, unless you're spending $$$ to mod them to the point where only the movement is not genuine.
As I said in my previous reply I was exaggerating. I was talking more so from the AD standpoint, where they work with Gen watches all day every day, as their career, would be able to tell a rep from a Gen.
^^^^ this. It's unnecessary. Is it just because we don't want to bring attention to our community or?
