Love:
Breitling: my fav, wasnt a fan initailly, but they really grew on me
Sinn: love their simple but tough design
IWC: like their styles and clean lines, simple effective design
Dont mind:
Rolex: never owned one, because I really couldn't pull it off. Anyone under 40 with a rolex looks fake, its one of those watches that the man behind the watch makes it. And generally has a bit of an image of an older gentleman's watch. Still I can appreciate them.
AP: I couldnt stand these either, but they have grown on me over time. Very much an acquired taste, and a very strong masculine design like Breitling's that appeals to me. Never owned one.
Tag: while I dont like them much, I wouldnt go far as hate. I do like the Carrera and Aquaracers. A lot of my dislike is to the brand itself, lost of heavy celebrity advertising and people who know FA about watches think this is the pinnacle of watchmaking..
A.Lange & Sohne: Love their watches, again, would never be able to pull them off, they are very expensive and exclusive peices. Im only 33...
Would never buy:
Panarai: just not my thing, I know its been said a thousand times, but they all look the same! and a lot of their models don't have dates, which is essential to me in a watch. Just are too boring to me.
Hublot: Also not my thing, they are interesting but not really my style. They look too robotic almost.

Initially, I thought that all PAMs look alike and many do but there are a few that are very different at least the dials such as the Cali, 029 and 063. Case wise, there's the Radiomirs, the subs, 288, 286, Mare etc.
I don't dislike really any brands except probably J&Co. Can never really get into those crazy dials.
For the same reason as the OP, I started of really not liking the Rollie's because of the stigma but have slowly came around.

love all high end brands rolex ,breitling, iwc, graham panerai etc etc although i dont wear rolex + a few more and they dont suit me there all individual and very rarely copy a style from each other, DO HATE crappy brands like tw steel who blatantly rip off these high end brands stick a shitty quartz lump in and charge a ridiculous amount of £££££, imo there worse than the rep factories.

Sounds great. Very clever, however we do it every day. Both conciously and subconciously. What car do you drive? Like BMW, Mercedes? Would never buy a Volvo or a Fiat? Macdonalds or Burger King? Coke or diet Pepsi? Prefer a certain toothpaste, deoderant, hate the smell of a certain aftershave? Get your news from Fox, NPR, NY Times , The Sun. Who are their advertising affiliates? That's the trouble with cliver little phrases and soundbites, they don't look at the big picture:maty:
