Does anyone know will there ever be a copy of Snoopy Speedy? Gen: 310.32.42.50.02.001 . I would be in the market for this one for sure if someone can pull it off. I fell in love with it on the first sight since I was huge fan of Peanuts (comic with Snoopy) back in the day.

Anyway I've decided to go for seamaster for now, read many reviews that there isn't a good rep for speedmaster due to demand or the subdial complications.

A quartz cheapy of this one is available now on DHGate. The dial side doesn’t look too bad at all. But they don’t appear to have done anything special to represent the amazing moving capsule on the caseback - it looks like they’ve stuck a picture on.

Someone (I forget who) has it ordered over on RWG. I was waiting to see how theirs looks before I order one.

As mentioned in past posts and threads

this is simply not viable economically, speedy pros are too numerous and affordable in the secondary market for a rep to succeed

the necessary development of that movement would be comparable to that of the noob 4130 for the Daytona and that’s a 600-700usd rep

while a 1861 is technically simpler than a 4130, in the rep game we’re likely to see the 1861 models cost more simply because they Daytona can move in huge volumes whereas the speedy can’t/won’t in the same volumes.

we like to think that here at rwi, repgeek, whatever that we are the rep makers’ target customers but we simply aren’t. Most reps made are destined for domestic consumption in China and China loves dem rolexes. Manual wind is also an inconvenience most don’t want to deal with and little value is placed on the whole moonwatch history thing. What we are i. This community is effectively a focus group / Outsourced quality control, helping identify flaws that others would miss and subtlety changing the direction of what’s popular/not. Rep makers though understand there are certain differentials in tastes and preferences which will not be bridged.

In light of this, as a rep maker would you conceivably grow hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars into development, tooling, inventory to make a rep priced at 600-700usd when the genuine used can be had all day long for 2000usd (and new grey market for 3500usd) pretty much anywhere in the world.

Where are you getting these prices, cheapest pre-owned gen I can find is $4000usd.

I'd like to bet maybe in the used Japanese market, you can able to discern it alone by looking at chrono24 sort by lowest price, say for example SMP 300s it will always show items coming from Japan.

They're a bit higher now that omega increased the new price with the revamped movement

Last year they could be had all day long brand new grey market for 3300usd. I bought and sold no less than 5 speedmaster professionals last year and picked up a steel bezel speedmaster broad arrow for less than 2k usd.

If you're not picky about fullset box/cards (and honestly why would you be if you're buying something a bit older) you can get 2xxx pricing all day long.

I've never seen this rep before, the dial spacing is correct to the gen so I'm guessing its either a quartz mouvement or most likely the pushers just spin the mini dials in steps. the centre chronology second hand being the actual second hand sweeping all the time. looks good though, especially on that black nylon band...

I am into this topic for only a few days and presently in contact with TrustyTime - but i do not think pure time will offer an other strap

nevertheless its worth a try....

for me the question is: which one looks better when on hand:

the OMG0595A from TT or the "Speedmaster MoonWatch SS Sapphire Crystal Black Dial on SS Bracelet Manual Winding Chrono Movement" from PT

somehow the dial of the OMG0036 with display back (which i originally wanted) looks a bit detailless compared to the two others....

Folks, unfortunately all mechanical Speedy Pro reps are way off regarding the subdial positions due to the Asian movements used. Should it bothers you, you should go on the gen or the (homage) quartz routes.

On the other hand, there are some acceptable reps of non Pro Speedy's, eg. https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...omega-speedmaster-racing-co-axial-chronograph.

thy...i realized this fact some days ago - it all started when i became unsure that my genuine was a real genuine -now i am sure
nevertheless i want to use the rep for daily usage
