I was raised in Southgate N14, Enfield. For those that don't know, this is a nice area. Decent, honest law abiding folk now being invaded by the scumbags of society.

Keep your head down Cee.

Good luck, Phil

Most of the folk living in these areas are honest and decent people Phil.

As for the rest you are absolutely spot on! Scumbags is too nice a word for these pricks though.

The same kind of pondlife are playing the same game in Birmingham on a lesser scale. I cannot see an immediate end to this.

On a lighter note, at least it means a premature end to Camerons holiday.

Welcome to London, home of the 2012 Olympics

On a lighter note, at least it means a premature end to Camerons holiday.

Oh well, every cloud has a silver lining. And I wonder what Boris Johnson will have to say about all this shit.

I still rekon they should send in the para's, or even just threatening to unleash them would send these morons running in fear.
Sadly I fear you are wrong - these 'big men' are just moronic boys, strong in numbers and thinking they're invincible but weak when it comes to the individual - show them hard work, responsibility, a job, taking the moral high ground, standing up to your peers... and I'll show you someone running from these things because it might be 'a bit like effort' and involve being an adult.

Divide and conquer is the only way with such folk, and heaven forbid if the ex-copper bloke on the news tonight gave the gangs ideas when he said "the big worry is if they come together against the police"...

Sometimes I do wonder if US style gun ownership would deter this, or whether it would just exacerbate the situation! At least it would give justification to shoot the thugs running amok if they were carrying firearms lol

You're absolutely right on the points you've made about these "big men".

I was saying what I said under the assumption that these pigsh*ts had even an inkling of a brain cell left in their head.

More talk on the news this morning about options.

Just get the ******* army in with water cannons and rubber bullets, with live fire back up for when the 'hard men' start shooting off their illegally held handguns!

Either that or drop several hundred fragmentation grenades from a helicopter into the crowd...

No riots under the X Dictatorship ;) mwuhahahahaha! :nuke:

Enough is enough, time to shoot a few examples of this crud from the bottom of the barrel.
Get the armed police or the cops in and a few dead 'uns will send the rest scurrying home like the rats they are. Same with looters, they should be shot on sight. This is not acceptable conduct anywhere.

Stay safe Londoners and others under threat.

Sadly we live in a nanny state country and everyone would start bleating about "they weren't hurting no-one, innit?" if we shot people for looting

Then there'd be a full scale public inquiry that took years for all the officers to be called to account and prosecuted when, somehow, someone successfully defended the dead as 'innocent'

Sadly, in this case, we're not Syria... lol

I agree, looters should be shot on sight. We had some riots in North London back in the early 80's. Things were different then, now the looters have rights:lolcina:.

Maybe they had a bad childhood or nobody loves them.........awwwwwww.

A few good slaps to sort the b'stards out.

Good luck, Phil

Bored, uneducated and unemployed people are dangerous. Everywhere. We should be happy that they haven't been "logistically supported" by the bearded religious fanatics yet.

My thoughts are with the people that are terrorized. Nobody cares about them.

But if you dare touch one of the looters you'll be up to your chin in liquid dog poo. Not only the internal service will scrutinize your behinds, you are likely to be publicly crucified on youtube, subsequently prone to get your possessions like car or home vandalized by "followers".

Did you catch the interviews on the news with some rioters who said the purpose of the riots had nothing to do with the police shooting but was to "get back at all those rich people - business owners and conservatives who are rich and don't deserve it." Their words, not mine.
The politics of envy is going to destroy Western civilization as we know it.
"Rich" people (these days defined as anyone making enough money to maintain a decently comfortable lifestyle) are the ONLY ones who have ever hired me and payed me a dime to be able to pay my assistants and salesmen and employees, and to be able to pay my mortgage and buy a car (that other people made money making and selling) and eat at restaurants etc. These "rich" people are also the only ones paying the taxes which pay for all the "free" services the rest of the populace enjoys and demands.
When did people working hard to create a nice lifestyle for their families become the problem with society?

This is the epitome of the "you owe me" entitlement mentality.

Society owes you nothing....nobody said it was going to be easy....our forefathers didn't have it "easy"...they worked hard and made something of themselves....they "earned" it.

I think, in the USA, the abolishment of the draft had a lot to do with the rise of this mentality. It used to be you either got your butt into college or you got drafted into the service. I remember a lot of "f*ckups" in high school went into the military, got three hots and a cot, and made something of themselves.

They also learned a valuable lesson concerning "personal responsibility"....a lost trait these days it seems.

I have no time for these morons that decide they want a plasma TV and decide to go out and get it. BUT, think about what they have here in this country.
They have politicians that attempt to defraud their expenses to get either their moat drained or a freakin Duck House built on taxpayers money and then those SAME thieving politicians are telling them they have to take cuts in jobs and services and its going to go on for a long time. Anger breeds anarchy and that, unfortunately, brings out the shit of society that just wants to go looting.
There is no law on the UK mainland for the use of watercannons, why ? Get the law changed and get the water on them, that'll send them home.

Truth... and bored, uneducated and unemployed people can organize through Facebook and Twitter and spread their ignorance to the masses.

Being afraid or unwilling to stand for something or worse, being complacent will not stop this from happening. Unfortunately, Europe has already put into place the circumstances that feed the one ideology and prevent the other from defending itself.

Or, in the words of Winston Churchill...

"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, it's inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."

Where I live in Enfield, people have been taking it upon themselves to get rid of the rioters. I've just seen people come out of the pub and chase down a group of rioters who were eventually arrested by police. Other people who happened to be in the local area were also helping the police chase down some individuals.

I know people in the Turkish community who have been standing outside their shops and waiting for the rioters to arrive in an attempt to somehow divert them away, and it worked. Their shops were the only ones untouched in the local area which is amazing.

It's nice to see people taking this problem head on, although it shouldn't have to be our responsibility to do so. Although I must say the police have been much better today but the night is still young.

I heard a British guy today say their unemployment rate is in the 7.5 - 8.5% range. There is hostility brewing, he reasoned, based on impending government layoffs, which would put more people out of work.

Huh? OK, whatever.

I stand by the opinion of mine that those in the UK and those in Canada don't know when to riot.

Americans riot because of racial tensions (Watts, LA)
Greeks riot because of poverty and poor economic conditions (current)
Arabs riot for freedom (current)
French (immigrants) riot to protest police brutality/discrimination)

Canadians riot because of hockey (Montreal, times 12... Vancouver, twice... Edmonton)
English riot because of soccer and because armed drug dealers get shot.

I think us in the Commonwealth really need to work on our reasons for rioting.
