Long way my friend ;) I have yet to experiment with the printer and decal printing yet. I think I chose a very very hard dial to do on my first go. The stick markers is harder to do and position than the round ones. Each letter has to be pathed out for sharpness when printing

Bart Cordell Retina I have used some of the old school etch resist methods of making these and it is incredibly difficult to get the resolution good enough to do dial text. Cudos on a process that from our vantage point looks very convincing. I might have to try this myself. Very cool.

Wonder what a gilt 201a would look like...[emoji12]

All this talk about gilt dials made me realize I havent had this out in days. This baby needs a rivet bad!

For super sharp printing you usually need a high resolution work file - I did my base work on 600 dpi with vector pathwork. The prints will be sharp on almost any inkjet ;) printing setting must be calibrated to bring out the details

Nice !
The print test is the only way to see if it's good enough

Waiting for the printer ;) don't think it will be an issue TBH. The rail marks are thinner than the details on the text and my laser printer picked it up very well. Inkjet will be even more prominent ;)

Alright quick mock up for ROLEX - paths are done. OYSTER PERPETUAL is pending editing tmr... Pretty happy with my attempt at replicating the dial TBH, it looks good printed, I upped the DPI to 1,200. The limit on my printer, hopefully that will be sufficient for sharp details ;)
