Thanks! No, it's the cartel case and dial, I relumed the markers and aged the hands, the out of box lume was way too yellowish. I also replaced the crystal with Sternkreuz one, it really made it different. I've got the helenarou 6538 dial and going to build another one with better caseset ;)

I don't know much rolls rep but I think the font letter on the bezel insert looks too thin.

1940's, 17 Jewel Gruen Precision W/ Working Alarm Function

I found this piece at a watch repair shop by my office (NYC) for only $50. Someone dropped it off and never came back for it. The dealer (who's worked on pieces from my collection for years) only charged me the labor cost he was owed. The Gruen Watch Company (1874-1953) has an interesting story but the pieces they built are hard to research and difficult to date their exact production year. After opening up the watch I can confirm that mine was built in the Precision factory in Bienne Switzerland sometime in the 1940's. Below are some pics for you.

Already gone:D: these were made for other people, sadly my collection only lasts a few days after I finish a build then I have to say goodbye

A little scuff on the bezel but pretty bad ass.

Dunno if I should blast the Ti or not... hmmm...

Definitely needs a new bezel pip.
