It will depend on if the rep has gen construction. I have a 31mm ladies DJ but wouldn't try to add gen parts to that as it is too low quality
Here’s a crazy idea : there is a glut of pre-owned inventory in 26mm range (overstock is selling it!). Go on Chrono24 and make someone an offer for $1k. Going Franken will be a nightmare and cost you as much.

Lol, sourcing the parts was part of the fun! And as to the cost, was way lower than $1000. If you manage to get a gen for $1000, fair play and good luck
I looked into this 26mm earlier, and a little more than $1K will get you a gen. Sort of unfair really.

Do Any of these factories make a “super rep” for ladies? My mother in law and wife would like Rolex’s but wouldn’t dare wear a gen out of the house due to the price tag on gen’s.

Regarding 26mm, Michael Travis is highly regarded on DHGate and has one that’s about $160. I’d ask him for a picture. Then there is something that has a photo review that I cannot really assess. It’s interesting and the buyer seemed happy but it looks a the blue pearl effect looks a little unusual to me:.

I don’t mention it because to me in gen it’s really not my thing. Like, I hate it! I know it’s very well repped, but it’s just not my taste. Doesn’t mean my taste is correct! Now if someone said hey can you suggest a big ceramic clunker for my wife she really wants that I would definitely say no brainer! But no one has asked me that yet
