Spyderco Dragonfly...

A great little BIG knife.

I've taken to wearing this as a neck knife to compliment my EDC. Kydex was made for me by a friend.

...and fairly quick to deploy. Thumb and forefinger in the "spydie" hole, tug, flick of the wrist and she's out.

Spyderco P'kal

In the Philippino Visayan dialect p'kal literally means "to rip".

While the knife has some utility, it's primary purpose is self defense. Waved for fast deployment; takes a little practice as it rides higher in the pocket. Once deployed, the point is applied with short, quick jabs and, with it's reverse edge, a pulling motion is used if an opponent attempts to tie up limbs or clinches.

Would be a good choice for camping or the serrated one?

Speaking of Emerson's, here's one I couldn't resist...

CQC 7 V, "V" as in v grind instead of the standard chisel grind. Tan G10 scales, limited run; this knife is a tank. Probably will remain a "safe queen" for the foreseeable future.

For camping I might go with serrated Q. It would help with cutting cord and such.

Now if you can sharpen and your edge was a little more "toothy" (micro serrations) it could accomplish that and help with food prep, splitting kindling and so on.

Serrations can get caught in some "stuff" and there isn't a lot of edge left on a CQC 7 if you opt for serrations.

Also, it's good to "chat" with you my friend. ; )

Great Spyderco's G30. That Emerson is great, too. Happy cutting buddy!

I just sold my safe queen Spyderco/Lum sprint run on Ebay... Went a little crazy buying toys this month so something had to go. :(

Thank you TrailBoss. I'm still trying to get familiar with this forum and I was wondering if you could refer me to other people or websites selling non-watch items.

Thanks again.

Usually I carry one of my 2 the Microtechs but I picked up a cheapy Kershaw that impressed me. Now I got the big again for another EDC.
I'm thinking ZT0200 or the Benchmade Presidio.

Oh boy I've been on the knife kick now again. I just got two ZT's a 0550 and an 0560. Then I bought a Spyderco and last but not least a Hinderer XM-18.
Then I went ahead and did this

I know we have a lot of Knife fans here so I thought I would post this up. A recent project I started while waiting for straps to cure. A friction sheath for my ZT0550 folder. This was made by wet forming premium Veg Tan 6 oz hide. The back was doubled up to 12oz. Dyed cordovan with cream saddle stitch and reinforced Chicago studs. This one mounts horizontally on your belt.

Stunning work!

And damn nice knife. A Hinderer is on the top of my knife list.
