Kent Parks - massive problems

Well as iPhreak will testify Kent can be amazing but my experince has been terrible and basically I'm 400USD down with no watch.

The story:
Bought a BR03-92 from a trusted member who shipped to Kent direct on the 04/03/10
He promised 1 month - however it actually was done on the 6/23/10 thus missing our agreed date (when i was in the USA) no biggie! Kent shipped to the UK on 7/2/10

A week later I got it - sadly the lume was uneven and the wrong shade. Not only this but somehow the movement had died! No problem! Kent offered to take to take it back and fix the issues he'd caused and ship back saying "I want to get this right and on your wrist ASAP".

Kent confirmed delivery mid July promising "more [info] later". That is the last I've heard from him.

We are now MONTHS after last correspondence and he will not respond to emails.

total costs:
BR03-92 (QC by D4ME & iPhreak) WR 6 ATM: 225
Re-Lume & ship to UK: 140
ship back to kent: 30

total: 395USD......

any help/thoughts appreciated.

I sent him an email to ask how he is doing. No promises, I have'nt talked with him in a couple years.

Very appreciated R2D4..... Really appreciated... Ive been amicable and patient and I wanted some other stuff done by him too =(

Kent's a good guy and I'm sure there will be a good resolution...

Not many lumers will take on B&R's because of the issue with cases and how the crown inserts... I don't believe Ziggy even will do them anymore...

Very, very odd, Kent is usually great.
No excuses for that but I do know he's not taking on any more work ATM until a backlog has cleared. I believe he has not been well.

I know.... It's not like him, he was always unreliable on emails BUT he would eventually reply....

Any helps admins is really appreciated =)

I too had my B&R lumed by Kent. He did a wonderful job, really fantastic work. It took over 5 months, and I had to email him at his day job as well as home to get him to move.
It saddens me as I would love to have that quality of work done again (if needed) but I wouldn't use him again due to the slow movement.

Still no word... now we have had admin, moderators, fellow members and myself emailing him.....

I can only say AVOID Kent.

Its just irritating - one of the best supposedly turns out to ignore all my emails! I was so patient with him - mistakes happen.... grrr next time I'll be a bastard lol.

Update I emailed him the following:

Hi kent,
Up until this point I have been perfectly amicable regarding the issue of my 'missing' BR03-92. My patience after (wait is that now >6 months!) this excruciating amount of time has begun to wear thin.

The watch was returned to you with mechanical and lume problems early July - since you received it (mid-late July) and you promising to 'get it back on my wrist as quickly as possible' I have hear literally nothing from you. Emails are not answered, even Admins and everyone else I can think of asking to contact you has ended with a non response whenever my name pops up.

I hope even at this very final stage we can resolve this amicably however if no contact is made within the next few days I will be forced to seek legal advice on how to recoup my missing (>)$400.

Honestly I thought you were one of the better lumers out there but maybe your reputation is hugely overstated.

As I said maybe there is an explanation - I do hope so and I really hope an amicable solution is found.

Not a court in the land will touch it as soon as the word replica comes up. I'm sure that Kent Parks knows this too.
