Nice, is that combi bracelet on his site?
Had not seen that.

BTW, anybody know a modder in North America that can do some work on one of these. Have a type I and the keyless works has been tripped when replacing the crystal and now the DWO needs to be removed in order to reset.

Thanks in advance

Look up katt. Apparently very good, fast and reasonably priced service

Katt seemed very limited with my queries, I'm just saying... When I asked for some stuff, I kind of felt brushed a bit.

Any modders that are not booked out for weeks and are willing to accept my business in North America please PM me.

I'm looking for someone to source some parts and install for me. Particularly this TC for now. I'm thinking, gen bezel with gen insert or just insert. Gen xtal, gen clasp.

I also have a gen datejust with after market bracket that I need fitted to match the case ends and some fixing with the movement. Date is working but can only change it with the hour. It's a vintage 1960's.

Call it what you think..I've PM'd several folks already...if I haven't PM'd you and you are willing to work with me, please let me know. I'm in SF Bay if it helps..

I know this is a closed forum, so I understand the exclusivity but I don't have time to play peek a boo trying to locate someone..

BK still does modding and is in the US, you might want to contact him. One of the forum member just had his MBW TT sub modded and fixed by BK and he's very happy with the turnaround.

BK has great customer service, I just wish he offered more products I probably would buy all my reps from him.

Right now he has a gen 16610 crown that he's selling if you're interested. I would take it but I'm looking for a gen LV insert and gen crystal first.

What's a fair amount of time to wait for a response back from TC?

Could be a few days, could be a few weeks. He travels a lot and is not a dealer, just someone who wants to make an awesome sub rep.

I see you went with the V3 clasp, looks great. He's also now offering a "combi" bracelet which features a V3 bracelet with V2 clasp.

I actually prefer that, especially V3 using a V2 diver's extension.

Being a gen sub owner and a tc owner i can say that in the real world those minute details you mention are never noticed. once fitted with a gen bezel it would be very difficult to spot it as a rep..For the price its by far the best offering around without having to lay out 6k. Enjoy it..

Here's the update.

I think I've given TC enough time to get back in touch with me in regards to my issues. Especially considering that I know for a fact that he has been in contact with other members here during these past few days. After much thought, I really question what is going on with TC's operations lately. He may have put out pristine samples in the past but now I don't know. Hopefully I have an isolated case. While it's not for me to say anything about it, I think the wiki on RWI acronyms should be updated. After my initial posting, it has become very clear to me that TC is not a low volume dealer/maker.

I am very disappointed with how this transaction has taken place and the lack of action on TC's end after he received my money and delivered the goods. The least he could have done is acknowledge that he received my emails and will get back to me, but that has not been the case at all..

Good luck to those that have recently ordered a TC Sub.

Hopefully yours does not come with a badly gouged bracelet, obviously messy lums, and a dirty crystal that could have be cleaned/wiped before sending to me...

I will post pics later today to show that I am not making this up.

Thanks everyone

That's how they worked in the '60s. There was no quick setting of the date.

:howdy: Hello everyone. RWI is one of my favorites. Been researching here for a while on Sub and GMT projects but haven't posted much. Got a question and was hoping to get some input.

I purchased 2 subs from TC. The recent being the LV, sanded rehaut with no insert. When I first got it I noticed right away that it had a gouge in the retaining ring and seemed to have an issue with the keyless works with manual winding. It felt like the castle gear wasn’t grabbing all the way. TC responded that these are new ETA 2824-2 and not to do anything with the keyworks. He sent me 2 crowns (nice, one spare) advising it should fix the issue. Before I was able to change it out, the movement completely stopped working. I sent TC a few e-mail’s but no response. My dealings with TC has always been positive thus far. Been considering a Sea-Gull ST2130 2824 clone at $75.00us on eBay but hoping TC will eventually come through. Any advise on how to resolve would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
