I don't think the DW has been updated, i have the same "update" from my V3 since few month back ...

Looks very good, but AP logo is crooked ... like very often with JF

I’ve been looking through pics and the brushing seems more course for sure on mine and a bit finer on others. I didn’t notice the difference as I’ve never studied it before buying one, it was legend and mech the two guys with the Gen who spotted the brushing. It’s definitely more so the case and bezel. And I can now see what you mean about the brushing angle looking s little off.

On the V3s I have seen, about 90% of them comes with either the dial markers or logo, or both, misaligned in one way or another.
But yes these are easy fixes.

Checked with my V2J and it appears to be slightly thinner on your updated V3 but in the end it was the lighting on the mirror polished edged that played tricks... kinda optical illusion i guess.

But a different hand supplier could also mean a refinement - side by side with identical lighting would be helpful in this thing even if it is very minor just like the seconds hand pinion which got a cap on the gen ...

As soon as i looked at this watch, the hand lume strips seemed thinner. I am reasonably sure that the hands are updated (different supplier). They look great now!

But can’t be sure.

now it is much more visible - definitely updated, yes. Sorry for the confusion.

Yep. Yours look the same as mine. The thicker lume strips on the previous released looked really off. This is a big aesthetic change IMO. I am rubbish at comparing pictures but in real life my eyes instantly noticed the improved hands.

Let’s talk about gen vs rep thickness:

Gen (left) vs rep:

The thicker rep caseback sinks into the skin and essentially the watch looks gen thinness on wrist:

My advise, don’t pay $300 or whatever to get your rep thinned and definitely don’t thin the bezel...the chamfers will look wrong.

Let remember we are comparing a Chinese rep to Gen, you can buy 50 of these jf to one Gen and look how close it is. Quite amazing in my view.
