Hey guys, I’m new to the forum but have been following the posts for a few weeks.
I just received my QC pics, wanted to make sure this is a V3.

I have a few gen watches and this is my first rep, very excited about it though! Please let me know if I’m getting what I expect.

To be clear, not asking if I should accept or not. I’m only asking if it’s a V3.

Yes. You can tell by the logo and the dial markers.

alfawatch I bet if you look at both gen and v3 white or black version on someone’s wrist you woudn’t know which one is gen. I’ve seen and had on my wrist he 15400 and I’m so freaking impressed with how those JF are built and how damn close they are to gen.

Do you feel that way with just the white and black dial and not the blue? Just curious if the blue dial is further off from gen than the other 2 are in your opinion

am i seeing things or is there no groove around the box that says audmars.. if this is so then the blue has been updated to true v3 status now along with black... any thoughts?

I think black and white dials versions v3 are just so damn close. Someone who is knowledge about 15400 can spot different darker blue date wheel that are on 15400 blue dial but still one need to look closely.

What’s the major improvement on the RG 15400 on the V3 compared to the V2J. Is the RG Color any close or still the same.

Picked up a BNIB gen blue. Will do a gen vs rep soon.

Don’t have the rep at the moment but from memory the dial colour is very close.

Still in plastic. Need to find the right moment to sit down and unwrap

But goes to show some things just can't be rep that well like the dial of it..
The gen dial is so awesome in it's own way.

Yes, the rep is VERY good, I mean VERY good indeed but the gen is something else. Gen mid-case feels so much thinner and the bracelet is smooth and silky.

Anyone want to let me borrow their v3 for a gen vs rep comparison .

Don’t think my bank account could handle a $400 hit (to buy a v3) anytime soon after being raped by AP recently.

The gen is stunning and has a sort of depth that the rep lacks but this just demonstrates how incredible the JF reps are. Most people who claim they can spot the differences at a glance are bluffing imo. You need to hold them side by side or just stare at someone's hand to spot the rep especially in the silver dial.

I agree man. Ain’t no way you can spot JF as a rep on the wrist. No fucking way. Even the blue rep is close enough. I bet half the people here would assume mine is rep on my wrist. Lol

if you had posted it in the "what ap you wearing thread" most guys would ask "is this V2j or V3?" LOL

another question mate since you have the 21600 bph gen now. How obvious is the lower beat on the wrist? guys also claim this is "instant tell".

Hahaha. I can’t tell the difference mate. Perhaps, if you had both gen and rep side by side and you knew what to look for, you may see the beat difference .....but at that close distance you’ll know it’s a rep from overall finish, case thickness and depth of dial finish.

The gen crystal is also very clear....clearer than JF but not invisible like ProfS.


Some say rep has a different colour DW, I’m not sure, all I know is that there are different gen batches and you ain’t gonna get called out based on DW colour. Lol


I’ll post a side by side video when I get a v3.

I’m just so impressed with the rep. It’s believably good. JF need to thin out that case tho. The gen feels so much thinner and better balanced IMO. But on the wrist it’s impossible to tell the difference in thickness.
