Angus refused to announce, he said only Will see New Dial, in fact New Gen with JF , what Supposed to Do now JF , I remembered when JF bought Gen diver chrono Blue and released v2 , about 3 months , ireally can't expect, in repworld I buy only watches from Gen sample it's sure Give u 95% Gen feeling, maker Like JF , its worthy to wait

Yup it's v2 and minute markers look pretty good. I would definitely take this watch.

When it comes to new release of 15400, I can bet JF will refine minute markers, Swiss made and probably AP writing below AP logo.
They won't change thickness, it would require new movement. I don't see that happening because difference between Gen and JF is only 0.5mm.

I wish they used same small screws on the bracelet and additional pins. I think it was bad move to change size of the screws.

A long thread but very insightful. Thank you everyone for your inputs. Common sense tells me that I should wait for the V3 to come out, but not sure how long I could wait out without having one of these on my wrist.

When the TD lists a Miyota 9015 movement, is that then an actual GEN miyota movement, or do they use a chinese copy of it? Anybody knows?

I just received my blue JF V2, quite a disappointment. Ive seen the gen boutique edition and even tried it in person, the dial's difference is quite remarkable to be honest.

1st of the the tapisserie pattern on JF V2 is totally wrong, the gen tapisserie is slightly bigger and flatter. Another significant flaw is the AP logo, JF's version is too fat and tall, the AP logo where the letters A dn P join has a wide gap. The gen AP logo is slimmer and slightly shorter, you wont notice the gap between A and P. Also the minute markers printing is so weak! Plus there was some misalignment on 3 and 12 markers, I already highlighted this to my TD but she insist its good enough. Now I have to either buy a replacement dial or ask aflop to realign the markers.

AP updated their logo. JF on v2 looks exactly the same as gen new logo.

Gen have both logos slim and fat sometimes they use the slim logo too. Why? I have no idea.
