Lol. The IWC is nice tho. Wanna trade one of your 15400s for a brand new JF diver v7 on bracelet?

To be honest mate.... not really into divers or Royal Oak offshore that everyone seems crazy about. cant believe the off shores are more expensive than 15400 !!! insannne!

I remember reading somewhere in an official article than AP was only releasing a very limited number of blue dial and that if you could actually manage to get your hands on one of them you'd be a very lucky man.

Correct. IIRC they were only available through AP boutiques or something like that. A quick glance shows 399 15400s for sale on chrono24 right now. Of those 7 are SS Blue Dials and the other 8 are gold. You can pick up a Gen 15400 in SS for $12,500+, the blue dials alone bring roughly a 50% premium over that. When I bought mine I snagged a black dial for $12K and I was offered a blue dial for $19K.

I know the 15 400 in blue's the gorgeous one. But what is up with blue dials, it's driving up prices like hell. It's the same with PP 5711 Nautilus, the blue dial is way more pricey than white or greyish dial for example.

Not on a Nautilus. On a 5711 the prices for Blue and White dials are pretty close... About the cheapest a gen 5711 in SS goes for is around $23K, and you can find white or blue dials at that pricing. The white dial watches are going to be 2012 or newer so perhaps you may find an older 5711 with a blue dial for less. Gray dial ones are a lot more because they only come in precious metal, White Gold I think. Cheapest those go for would be around $28K last I looked for a white gold on a strap, I forget if that watch is only available with a strap or not but 5711s with precious metal bracelets are big money.

On an AP at least it's a rare watch, on a PP it's not anything special.

For me its the right blend yellow gold doesnt look very classy, and too pink just looks feminine - JF did a good job in my opinion! id love to see a gen in the flesh though..so hard to tell from pics the true colour especially the heavily photo shopped AP website ones!

Gen 15400 RG looks kinda like in 2nd and 3rd pics. It looks more like yellow gold than anything else.

Yeah but like these pics show in different light the colour can change... I'm pretty sure it's not exactly 1:1 the same tint as gen as it is plated and not pure gold but don't think it's as far off as people think.. :)

JF should do a wrapped gold version of the 15400 for about $1200. It would help overcome any tint discrepancies and provide a longer lifetime.

Once silenced these watches are in a league of their own for $380. I have ss black and straped rg version and to be honest don't think I'd find a nicer looking genuine watch at that price point.. I think it's a steal.. ;)

Thanks buddy! I always thought people were exaggerating when they said it sounded like a freight train. But it is closer to the truth than not lol.
