But I'm still a little concerned about the height. I've never worn a gen for any period of time besides trying it on for a while at the boutique. I'm not sure if the thickness of the rep will throw off the case proportions and the way it sits on the wrist, since these IMO are pretty important aspects of the gen Reverso that makes it, well, a Reverso..

I have to be fully honest here, I suspect the height will be the same as the auto one I already have, and indeed it's throwing the whole look of the watch a bit off compared to the gen.

Reverso are subtle watches where every detail count, you probably wouldn't notice a 1mm difference but if it's around 3mm as I suspect, you will notice it.

Does that mean the watch will be ugly or is a bad rep : not at all, but it will not have the same profile as the gen.

What I don't know and can only suspect is that, by the look of my QC, they seem to have taken care of having a good strap fit, the gen has an insert at the end of the strap that make it stay always flush to the case and hug the watch to the wrist, digging a little bit.

If that's the case in the rep, the thickness could be a bit compensated and if it's not, a custom strap could help.

I'll tell more when I have it in hand, I'll leave my first impression before making a proper review of it.

Not asked, but seeing that on QC the time on the front & back are not the same and with the video we've seen, I don't see any reason to doubt that

A little off topic, but does anyone have any opinions or reviews on the quartz Reverso ultra thin? The ones being sold by TDs are the same as those being sold on DHGate right?

Should be, although with the gate you never know what you'll get, read this topic from the beginning, you'll see someone mentioned the few flaws in the quartz rep, but it's still a very good rep !

Been looking for a good reverso and this looks promising! The crown should be a bit recessed but think I can live with that. 2.7mm thicker than gen but not too fussy on that as well. The movement, well, only time will tell that one.

Look forward to see pictures when others have received it!

Should be indeed, the recess is a really subtle but nice touch on the gen, this little something "extra" in the details. But at least the crown is thin unlike the previous auto one

You've been there since 2014, you should know how this work by now, no ?

TD only advertise some of their watches on their website, but they are all able to get the same watches, you just contact them and ask them what watch you want

It's here, and it's very good !

Here are some very quick pics and a micro technical review :

First the dimensions :
- Width : 30mm
- Length (Tip of the lug to tip of the lug) : 48mm
- Thickness : 12.36mm

I've checked the glass and it's sapphire on both sides.
The flipping mechanism is firm and sturdy, it rubs a little bit on the side of the case but that makes for a proper fit, the watch won't flip open with a flick of the wrist, I like that.

The strap feels a bit plastic but looks awesome, it has that "gen like" alligator glow to it.
As suspected, the strap insert that allows it to be flush with the case, makes a world off difference on the wrist, the watch really digs in the wrist and sit flush, which makes the watch appear way thinner than the 12.36mm.

Overall, the dimensions are very good, much better than the auto one I have, which feel squarer than this one. With this rep, you really have the rectangular reverso dimensions (the auto is between a reverso squadra and a tribute reverso)

In the youku video the reviewer was talking about sharp edges around the watch, mine doesn't have any sharp part.

Also as seen in the video, to change time on the front (white dial) you put the crown in position 2 (stick out the most) and to change the time on the back (blue dial) you put the crown in position 1 (intermediate position).
Winding is very smooth.

The "snowflake" dial is something to be seen in real, picture don't do justice to that texture

Yes indeed it's a bit too low on all models here, but unless you've seen the gen this will not shock you and it doesn't look bad like that on its own
