Can anyone here imagine a JF 15400 with improvements? What would those improvements be?

- should be a better pattern on the dial,
- font of the DW and
- no wonky markers.

Plus:
- Flexible bracelet
- Thinner caseback, even if they removed the deco-plate (but I don't think so)

Trimming the CB is a good idea.
But the bracelet problem, custom leather strap will solve the problem immediately.

Fixed Tapisserie.

That's 99.99% of the battle.

Better QC with hour markers, bracelet screws next on the list.

And after those: get it to gen-spec thickness, even if it means punting the deco plate.

If such a beast ever exists, I'll be getting one in every dial tone.

I feel the biggest challenge is the inconsistancy of the watches. Im on my fourth qc round because of wonky markers, chewed screews, running poorly... Just waaaiting and waaaiting for good qc pics

I haven't posted in such a long time I had to make a new account. Nor have I bought a rep in a very long time but this caught my eye.

I used to wear a Submariner, how big do you think this watch is compared to the Sub? I'm worried this watch is too big for me, I am 5"7 with a 6" wrist.

Anyone been able to reduce the rotor noise?

Those miyotas are embarrassingly loud!!

Any swift movement of the wrist in a quite board meeting and the bloody rotor starts swirling around like a jumbo jet taking off.

It is the test that shows the watch being pressed and the result on the right hand side of the machine. the result in shown in red and threre is X. Usually this is green for a watch that passes the test.

Upload the picture(s) to imgur and link it here so we can see. Sounds like a waterproof test but post pics to confirm.

Yes, I have. I've stopped the rotor free spinning which has made a big difference. I removed the rotor and dripped a little möbius oil into the bearings. Not sure what weight of oil I used as the bottle has lost its label but it's just thick enough to stop it whizzing like a mad thing!!! But light enough to wind freely.

Kss 54 - Thanks for letting me know about imgur

I received today my QC pictures but I have some concerns regarding the followig:
The color of the dial
Alignment at 11 and 12, could be just the photo
Failed test for water resistant
One of the screws at the back

Please let me know what you think.
Thank you

mate, before someone bashing you, i will try to help.

those markers that you circle in red is a reflection of the hours marker.
they are the reflection from the polished surface of the watch.
the distortion you see may due to angle of pics taken. So, dont worry.

water resistant is relative. if it's only splashed by water when washing your hand. dont worry.
the movement won't rust :)
you can bring to your watchsmith, pay a few quid and get it water resistant.

about the caseback screw, its up to you.
But be prepare, maybe the replacement watch they give will have wonky hour markers, scratched hex screw or even crooked logo.

i hope it's help
Cheers!
