I was hopeful atleast.. but they shouldn't be aligned. The gen's crown position is higher than the pushers because of the movement.
It's pretty much an easy tell if you know this bit.

Sure, a gen dial will always be superior to a rep dial if you're willing to invest the effort and the money. I hope the rep dial will be impressive enough though

The zf 5001 dial is 99% 1:1... If their 3714 has the same accuracy I wouldn't bother...

I hear ya. Me too! This captivating watch is THE reason I discovered this whole rep watch world in January 2014 after seeing it on an acquaintance's wrist. I still don't even know if his was gen or rep-- Doesn't matter now!

It's very good but not 99%, put them side by side and you will see the differences.

The quality and finesse of the a gen portuguese dial (5001 or 3714) is what makes it special and the rep comes very close but does not match it to 99%.

Based on pics its basically the same case compared to all previous 3714 reps.
Not sure about dial on this particular version though.
