Is this Genuine? If it's not, is it a good Rep?

I'm no expert on Sub Cs but isn't the lettering in the insert rather white for gens?

I have a gen subC and it's not as silver as people make out unless the light hits it right. Look at the 30 on the hulk and it has just a hint of silver.

Pics are pretty poor either way.

Hi, I'm kinda new to this hobby and wanted to ask the experts here. My friend is bragging with his new sub and he says it's genuine. What do you guys think?

Sent while wearing a Sub on my wrist.
That gap in the endlinks is too wide to be gen...and they're un-even from left to right.

On my gen 216570 this gap is almost non existent.

As some already pointed out mag ratio otoh is no longer a tell, now that Rolex doesn't even advertise the 2.5x mag ratio in any of their literature nor website after the "sub-par" cyclops causing them some issues with customers requesting warranty replacement crystals.

I don't think they are gaps...just the way light is hitting the lugs.

Whatever you say dude, just never seen a gen with an endlink gap like that that's all I'm saying. Plus given the light's angle of incidence in the OP 's photo I'll bet my bottom dollar that gap is there.

Yup no gap. Just the angle of the pic. Also sub c bracelet sits lower in the lugs than your explorer.
Let's agree to disagree.

Studying the photo, the light was hitting the watch from the top side and the right onto the watch. So even though the endlink may sit lower than my Exp II there's no light from the left enough to cast a shadow. Plus the photo was taken almost head on to the dial so there's really not much angle to speak of.

Wow, I thought I knew Rolex well and I would have without hesitation said they are middle of the road reps. I've see mag issues on gens but never to this degree and with the cyclops not centered?? I'd go so far as to say that the only thing that looks good is the insert and even that isn't bold enough.
