Those gentlemen who are waiting for my reply and think I'm missing. I ask for a little more patience. I'm working
This strap took a very long time, but I am very happy with the result.
Creation story.
One of my regular and favorite customers asked me to make straps for his friends who are not forum members.
I was to make a strap from vegetable tanned leather for a watch and this photo was provided
I cut a strip of smooth vegetable-tanned calfskin leather and embossed it
After drying, I proceeded to stain the leather strip. Each coating required a drying time. Multiple coloring of the leather strip was performed
After finishing the coloring, I did the strap assembly...And once again, I painted it
Final touches. Fastenings with white thread and a final coloring with tinting. I managed to achieve a "chameleon" effect, like on a clock face. Advancing black color shimmers into metallic blue.
The coloring was done without the help of airbrushing, by hand with thin brushes
I also made a video of what the strap looks like in motion and sent it to a friend to forward to the customer. (Unfortunately I can't attach it here).
A short time later, a friend of mine sent me a client message.
I apologize for publishing it, but there is nothing personal here to embarrass anyone, so I can afford it.
This is a huge bonus that I received in addition to being paid for my labor. Feedback like this inspires me and makes me happy.
Thank you for interesting orders, gentlemen !
