Buy from a TD. If you're buying from a member in any of the forums, use common sense.
Using Tapatalk as I type this reply. I am with those who advise the OP to get more in line with forum protocol. It works very well.
Discussion is healthy. But do not expect me to interpret your posts when you decide to write in tedious text speak.

if a member scams you mods and other members will be straight over his case , look at the treatment the latest scammer on here got , phone number and id number revealed , phone calls to his family and work , email to his facebook contact ect ect .... no need to reveal your phone number ; if you mess up with someone on here your phone number will be dished out . i understand you would feel safer talking to someone before a sale but i for my part would not feel comfortable revealing my phone number if i am selling an illegal counterfeit watch in the members sale section , you will already get my full name and address from paypal which should be enough for me not wanting to screw you , i bought from 4 private sellers and 4 td over the 4 months i have been here , never had a problem and never felt unsafe ,
rwi is providing a safe environment to all who love rep watch and want to trade ,
side note , english is not my native language and it is very difficult for me to figure out those txt messaging talk , and i do agree that it would be better not to use them if possible , it already took me a while to understand the rep lingo ...

I'll be controversial and say that the rep forums (not just RWI) 'police' sales way too much already, giving out phone numbers is ridiculous. Yes it's a good thing that there is some policing, but also it has its pitfalls. For a start paypal is a joke payment system. It works because it is so widespread, but it is crap in reality. It's 'buyer' protections are not based in any sort of real world selling system at all. If something goes missing in transit and I'm a corporation then I may be able to write it off and cover it. But if I'm a small time rep dealer, how the fcuk can I be personally responsible for every item handled by the entire postal system with it's bad handling and lost/delayed/kicked about 'fragile' items.
Next the tagged photo system. I realise they work and are handy and a good reference and it's a good habit to get into in the grand scheme of things, but I've seen plenty of gen $20K+ Pateks and Langes sold without any form of tagging system on sales threads on other forums. And yet I've seen people torn apart on rep forums due to lack of tagging. I'm not gonna dispute these things, rules are rules and all, but I do find it a little humorous when a $100 rep is pulled for not having the tags up. .....and we are asking for phone numbers next, shall I provide a dna sample and recent smeared blood sample along with a personally signed letter with 3 guarantors in my next rep sale

over at the VRF, some heavy sellers have there tele listed, but I suspect it is their business, and not their hobby. I would NOT give my number out to any prospective buyer.

I'll start a petition for everyone to sign. I'll send it to Col all signed up with the title "Please start a new sub forum for text speech. It's just too damn hard to add a "w" AND AN "h" before the "y". Putting a "y" and an "o" before the "u" is a real pain in the ass too. Thanks a bunch Col, it will really help us guys who are waaaay to lazy to type whole words and complete sentences with punctuation and everything."
