I put in a Raffles 14060 dial.

I was hoping to get 14060.
I think the 14060 currently available is only to be assembled with a Raffles case.

However, I didn't really like the Raffles case so I took a chance based on KJ2020 and C Master's posts.

1, I put Raffles 14060 dial T<25 in BP16610LN 2824.
Inserted the 29mm dial by shaving it with sandpaper to fit the case.
I shaved the engraving of the rehaut.

2, I put Raffles 14060 dial SWISS MADE on JF16610LN.
The 28.5mm dial could be inserted without machining (the legs were cut and pasted on the movement).

It is far from perfect, but I am satisfied in my own way.
I am forcing myself to install a 93150 bracelet and would like to drill holes in the lugs.

Very nice post.
The JF based - cause of the dial itself - looks really nice.
14060 is such a great and timeless watch, really a pity that this model was never repped.
The case and look of the 14060 is just amazing.

Respect what you have done and for the nice result! :)

Edit: with drilled lug holes and a 93150 = perfect upgrades.
I would source an Italian / Monaco bracelet. User MarkieMark is selling them from time to time.

Great work, bravo!

The 14060 is a really significant hole in my otherwise hilariously well/over-stocked 5-digit collection. Every time something comes up I get beaten to it, so I may well consider the DIY approach now I know it can be achieved with just a lil dial shave and footwork.

I searched 14060 for old posts and saw 14060 for BP, JMB, etc.
It is not available now.
I did what I can now because replica dials can now be purchased from Raffles.

The T<25 dial was assembled by kilowattore with a Raffles case, but I broke it when I was messing with the bezel.
I couldn't give up and transplanted it to BP.

I am an amateur and not skilled enough to tinker with watches.
I modified these two clocks as a practice for learning.

I would like to have a more well done dial.

I am a big fan of your Submariner collection.
Your collection is amazing and I would love to have it. (Laughs)

I wish I could go back to the days when there was a 14060 that I could buy.

Thank you very much.

I have now installed the 93150 with the 455B that KJ2020 showed me because the 501B end link is not available.

I would like to ask a modder close to my country to modify the lug holes in either case as advised by KJ2020.

Well done @trash3939, it is a build that just has to be done. I used a TC so no drilled lugs, but I am too concerned about keeping a TC case intact rather than making the 14060 period correct lol. I did cheat and get my watchmaker to shave the dial. It cost a bit ( a lot as he machined a metal movement holder too) I really do not have those skills. I admire your confidence in modding the BP and Raffles dial.

Looks great.

Drilling case lugs is probably a bit more difficult, definitely practice on the BP before you touch the JF.

When I had to shave down a dial I was too lazy to use sandpaper so I just clamped the dremel into a vice, screwed the dial onto the end of the dremel where the cutting disk usually goes, turned it on, hit it with a fine file. Easy peasy.

Thank you very much.

I didn't have the guts to use tools, so I scraped it off little by little with sandpaper (laughs).

I remember that I bought the Raffles 140604 line (matte) from your post.

How is the dial of the 4 lines?

I also have a TC but still hesitate to modify it.

I think practicing with BP was just fine.

BP does make a 14060, I've seen it several times posted for sale by Nembo on RepGeek. Maybe ask him if he can get it.

The BP 16610 ETA case is not a bad second choice. All the BP 1661x cases have narrower inserts than gen so it's closer to the 14060 insert width. The 3135 BP cases take smaller (gen-spec) dials so a Raffles dial won't work.

You did great with the rehaut removal and dial shaving. Nice work, looks great.

I was able to make this mod thanks to your post and advice.
Thank you.

Other than that, I started tinkering with the clock with the help of the posts and tutorials of the wonderful seniors at RWI.

Thanks to my wonderful colleagues at RWI.
