What was the orininal reasoning behind this rule. I know it's there, but there has to be an objective reason: is it because we don't want the fourm to become a complaint haven, or is it to prevent unvetted people from claiming against a td?

MCD is correct, we are here to assist members, not people who only join when help is needed (usually because someone at another forum/blog/subreddit tells them to). The only way this dumbass site will work is if you have a museum-quality vertical DSLR mount such as is used to record artifacts or crime scene evidence; these shoot directly down and square on. Any reasonable person should see that the image above is neither of these things so of course it will be off. Even when Rx4Time did his level best to shoot directly down he fail to achieve it by hand-holding a camera. That site is the biggest curse to repdom since ReplicaMake invented the QC pic.

Lot of reactions it appears. I cannot respond to each of them but to summarize :

@trailboss99 got it right : I paid extra just to go with a different factory. Not to change watch of the same version. So it's normal to have paid extra since the second version price was higher. Not complaining about that at all.

@tripdog is also right: I am refering to the misalignment of the screw heads (I did not use any QA website).

I still don't see the alignment issue. That's not an accurate way to tell. You need 2 known points to create a line. Your lines start at random points.
If you really want to see if it's symmetrical, connect all of the screws with a line and extend them all out. It should form a perfect octagon with the dial centered in the middle.

I work in AutoCAD everyday and I could import the image and show you the real alignment but I'm not going to do that because I wouldn't even do that with my own QC pictures.


It appears that the price from the second factory was a little higher and the additional $ was justified. This is not a scam.

I struggled with this exact thing for an embarrassing amount of time. The lines are based on the slots in the screws. So the issue appears to be the screw alignment and not necessarily the shape of the watch or the location of the screws.

I'm new to the world of replicas and a total noob. While replicas aren't flawless, the top-notch ones are incredibly close to the real thing. Also, please keep in mind that, you are buying a copy of a watch with only 1/100th of the price made from a Chinese factory. From an arms length, no one is going to notice these imperfections anyway.
