This is a refund issue - OP chose not to accept the watches offered, and @puretime offered a refund.

I'm sure that when Angus logs in next he'll sort the refund out to the OP's satisfaction.

Title changed - annoying yes, but not a scam.

I paid extra USD for another one as suggested by Puretime, the second had the same kind of defects. No news since weeks now about any refund.

So you did not accept watch 1 and asked to change it, and for this service Angus charged money? Or did i get this wrong?
I never heared of that.
Thanks @tripdog for checking in and clarifying.

Hope you get your refund or watch soon OP.

I should put one of my genuine watches through that stupid QA website and see how it comes out.... in the meantime subscribed!

I still don't see the alignment issue. That's not an accurate way to tell. You need 2 known points to create a line. Your lines start at random points.
If you really want to see if it's symmetrical, connect all of the screws with a line and extend them all out. It should form a perfect octagon with the dial centered in the middle.

I work in AutoCAD everyday and I could import the image and show you the real alignment but I'm not going to do that because I wouldn't even do that with my own QC pictures.

It appears that the price from the second factory was a little higher and the additional $ was justified. This is not a scam.

You aren't going to be happy with a rep.
I'd allow some time for the refund and buy a gen.

i wonder when those line drawing or star line overlaying people will understand that once the picture is not 10000% straight on, their technique will not work…

What was the orininal reasoning behind this rule. I know it's there, but there has to be an objective reason: is it because we don't want the fourm to become a complaint haven, or is it to prevent unvetted people from claiming against a td?
Beats me. I think it's the first one. People just sign up to get help and then leave or only come in to get help. Not really fair on staff and members.

Oh no, I understand fully. I was just looking for the underlying objective of it. Thanks for clarification.

Ok, I couldn't help myself. Below is the alignment of the screws.

OP is reffering to the alignment of the screw heads. The slits should follow each other and form a circle - the 8 o'clock screw on the watch above needs to be rotated a tiny bit counter clockwise for example, the 10 o'clock screw clockwise.

well, the fact that the “misalignment” lines are in the exact inverse relations to each other on top and on the bottom where they intersect is kind of an indicator that the issue is indeed perspective of the pic
