I did quick measure now, with a tape measure..Original is 40mm while the rep is 39 across excluding crown.

Where are you measuring? Just the bezel?

Yep. Across the bezel, straight across the dome of the crystal not touching the bezel. If I actually measure them by touching the bezel in each side, they're both 40mm. Which means 42 including the crown.
