if the brand dilutes its fame coughing out model after model with just minute differences among them, the rep also loses interest.

By the way what's the difference between 683, 01683 and 02683 ?

Absolutely hilariously accurate lol. Panerai has done a horrible job of management, probably worse than Invicta has. They have recently replaced the CEO and are making some big changes, like thinner 44mm Lumior Marinas at 13.7mm thick. I hope the new direction in Panerai is good enough to attract VS's attention.

I think they're stuck in a hard place. They've exhuasted their core design language models, but they struggle to branch out to new designs. But their customers are still Paneristi who like the core design language. There's only so many ways you can skin a cat.

I personally am ok if they made a completely new Panerai model/line with no hints or trace to the Due/Submersible/Bettarini cases. It would get alot of pushback, I can see it, but trying is better than dying. Just my opinion and I know other Panerai fanatics would skewer me for this 😂

absolutely sane to think so. And I think they should focus on reducing sizes somehow, especially thickness in this time and age
However, for our dear VSF / HF / NOOB / NEW FAC, scrap the R&D and stick to the classics Panerai models thanks. Dont waste time in following the self made graveyard the brand dug for itself

I thought the 40-42mm radiomirs would have been a hit but it seems that no matter what they do it’s not good enough. I think they are doomed right now and it’s all because of poor marketing.

Anyways, back to this HWF radiomir. I’m getting nostalgic because this release reminds me of the old days 15 years ago when we would get the shitty Pam reps that we would have to mod something on because they sucked— like the recessed CP, the crappy CG. It was frustrating but fun. Lmao.

And it has arrived earlier than expected!
I think it's well made. Finally I have a nice slim case Panerai. The printing is crisp, lume application even, polished well (apart from that center pinion 🥴) The strap is as expected, and will be replaced. The buckle is nice, screw in type, and will go on new strap nicely.
For the price I can't complain, I think I will get a lot of mileage from it

nice!!! For the price it’s pretty darn perfect. A nice dress watch with a bullet proof movement. Technically it’s a 754 from the front and a 380 from the back because of the cb.. but who cares.. enjoy this beautiful watch… we finally have a simple radiomir again.

Just whilst I remember - from my own past experience with radiomirs with lugs - i think it might be a good idea to put a drop of loctite on the lug wire lug screws. I remember many years ago I had several Radiomirs lug screws come off.

Not sure if the new iterations will be an issue but just a thought.

Thanks for the reminder 👍 I do this on the bracelet screws of new watches once I've adjusted them for size but the thought hadn't entered my mind with these lug screws

Yep - it caused me and a lot members grief in the past.
