These need a CP polish. It's a shame the factory can't just spend the extra few pennies to do it.

It's not a good rep. Both hands are poorly executed, as is the case/crown shape/lume colour - and HWF always seem to have issues with replicating indices accurately.

Kinda looks like a mix of different parts.. hands seem to be more accurate for a 753/4.. with a 380 CB.. I ordered one just because these radiomirs will probably never be repped by another factory. The chances of being called out on a Panerai now a days is slim to none. I live in miami and I’ve only seen 1 person with a radiomir in my entire adult life. Panerai is just not very popular anymore like they used to.

Its not meant to be a 380 though.

Lets be honest - nobody in the world is going to call this out. Even if a PAM sales person you met them in a restaurant they would have no idea that this is a rep. They prob wouldn't even know what model its meant to be.

I think for the price point and what you get - its 100% worth it to enjoy.

Being 'called out' wearing a Panerai rep has never been a real concern unless you were attend a PDay gathering wearing a Canal St shitter. However producing a shit Panerai rep at this point, when the standards have already been so high by previous factories - is just a lazy money grab.

But, weren't you just moaning recently about @Belkin12 's Rad builds because of the case shape / xtals not being 1:1?

Belkins builds are over $500. This watch is $268 and really doesn’t need anything else, unless you want it true 1:1 380, then just get a set of after market hands. The crown does look slightly off but the mid case looks better than Belkins. imo.

I mean they can't get the 111 correct which is like the bare bones basic PAM, haha.....

Unfortunately in this generation it's the best we have.

I wish VSF would come out with these basic radiomirs. But, they probably won’t. Instead they spend their time making obese versions of the 42mm radiormirs. I’d rather this than what VSF has done.

Vsf is not much better because of the clone movement thickness.

For Panerai fanatics it's nerve inducing.

But I would say most of these reps are "good quality/value watches". But maybe not the best "replicas" if we purely look at accuracy.

I think that's also the ‘meta point’ that annoys us the most. While the Chinese have achieved an astonishing development with many other brands, Panerai (but also the previously so popular AP Offshores) is unfortunately going in exactly the opposite direction. What's the reason? The hard truth is that Panerai is no longer as popular and the market for other brands is much larger. The classic models in particular, which we like so much, are selling rather slowly. I can still remember how Joshua (Perfect Clones) got a NOS batch of HFacs two or three years ago, some of which had been lying around for over a year before they were all sold.

But a quick word about HWF: Yes, they are midtier than Superreps for many models. But they are also really good value for money. For example, I used to have the 605, the 724 (there's even a review of one of these around here) and the 1085. Of course, all these models were also available from other factories at better prices. But for the price, they were three good reps - better than all the 40mm and 42mm stuff from VSF. I will therefore also be testing the 380. For the price, I don't think you can go far wrong.

What I noticed is that VS usually chooses to replicate the newest Panerais. The good thing is there are a number of new Panerais that look essentially identical to the ones you are probably referring to (380, 177, 000, 113, 183, etc).

They just need to realize there's a demand for these basic-looking Panerais... I can only wish.

Panerai needs to find more famous ambassadors.. work on rebranding themselves again as the action hero brand. I don’t know. Lol.. I just want some simple old panerais to be repped..
