2841 and ForecastMax also i am currently creating a low budget vsf / zf hybrid.
I ask you, you experts, which bezel do you choose for your build? vsf, zf or cf?

if cf v4, where can it be purchased?

I'm a zf dial fan. In indoor lighting conditions it matches gen the closest. I got mine through my TD

Without having someone remove the insert from a VSF I cannot say for sure if it is a CF v4 but I believe it to be based on the posted “who has the best Hulk” review where they said ZF, VSF & ZZF all used the same CF bezel insert.

Ive seen posts saying it’s a CF v-3-10 but I really have no clue unless it’s taken out to check the engraving on back.

You should really only compare the bezel insert, each factory will likely have their own pip and bezel.

Interesting to hear that ZF & VSF insert are different….would really like to know what they are stamped on the back

Direct order from CF thru Jtime. I’ve had several clean v3 range up to a 3-10. Very close in color.

Regardless of V3 or V4 I think the CF bezel insert I have looks great!

The color is imo spot on on the v3.10 and the v4, but the platinum inlay is not as bright/sparkly as the gen. (The CF bezel for the ceramic Daytona’s has the same problem)

These inlays kinda looks like a dirty version of the gens

I’m sure there are real-life color variations but I cannot distinguish the two aside from the VS having darker numerals

VS subs are still available through TD’s. JTime, Lucy, etc.

Franken is v4 clean the vsf would be as from factory being a s29 run so I’d assume it’s 4? The vsf appears to have darker indice, I’ve noticed this with all clean inserts that are supplied to the factories maybe their parts and factory surplus two different inserts?

Hmm. Interesting and I believe you’re likely correct. My VS is a S29 so I’m presuming I have a v4 as well.

I wonder if the individual factories apply their own numeral engraving & “platinum” fill along with their own pearl/pip.

Maybe CF just provides the ceramic blanks?

Doubt that. I think clean may have a higher quality they follow for parts opposed to what they supply factories with.
