The gen crystal, crown, hands, date wheel and ZF dial really transform this piece aesthetically.

Thank you! It’s stupid money but I kinda went on a tangent…

Internals were all new, about $1700, you could easily source used ones or put far less into the movement, the VS movement is gold as it is.

ZF dial was about $80, CF clasp was around $50.

Another $1100 or so for hands, crystal, crown/tube, date wheel (all new, could easily source used ones for less).

I did a lot of research on this before pulling the trigger on ZF. If you look at the dials they look very…VERY…similar but ZF does have a little darker color.

Personally, I feel it’s the best AVAILABLE dial. I have seen BP and JF dials (JF looks amazing but where would you find one??) that knock it out of the park.

So, yes, I think it’s worth it but a gen dial is the only way to really bring this baby to the big leagues.

I remember reading into a hulk comparison thread here a while back… the ZF dial matched the gen the best in terms of color/shade/hue — but I remember the actual lettering of the SUBMARINER, etc were much more bold than the gen used in the comparison.

I could be remembering wrong, however. I think one of the members said it does match one of the earlier gen LV’s though, that did have bolder font…??

Hey Mille, see below for the three variations of Hulk dial and the VSF/ZF (VSF is in watch) next to each other. ZF text below “Submariner” might be a tad bolder but not so much so that it bothers me personally.
