UPDATE --
To do --
Disassemble previous (ebay sourced) '3186' clone & diagnose/fix gen balance issue, so I can install the display caseback.
In the meantime, this 'clone' now looks/feels like the gen from an arm's length away -- my benchmark. That is, this 'clone' is visually, tactilely & functionally indistinguishable from my friend's gen 116710LN (sorry, in my haste to post this update, I completely forgot to shoot some comparison pics -- but I think you all know what the gen looks like).
The watch is regulated to within gen specs (+/- 2 sec/day), winds/hacks/sets with gen-feel, bezel feel is as decisive & smooth as the gen (I did do a bit of polishing of the wavy retaining ring/click spring pins & underside of the bezel, which obviously affects this, but bezel feel was good out of the box) & it has the heft & presence of a proper ceramic GMT.
Weekend looks busy, but, time permitting, I will try to post some more formal pics.
