opcorn:Guy's don't expect to see it for sale, but who could say! Perhaps will I go on a new super maxi Franken, and for sure will be for sale, problem now the level is hight, so look difficult.
Nope, too much creating pleasure with Franken, time for sourcing, thinking how will became the watch, trips to my friend domi, and so much satisfaction looking the final result, a gen buy could never give me this pleasure, I even stop wearing my gen Daytona, sub and day-date.

I was so impressed with the Chronopassion that it inspired me to get my own. Here is my Domi modded CP. Genuine AP black Hornback strap on order along with a gen titanium clasp. Both should arrive next week.

the donor watch, AP huitième chrono from 1995, using a 2126/2840 caliber, same has first generation of AP offshore.
note that the second hand and the 3 small hands are the same one than the offshore,

As I received many pm asking me how much a franken of mine could cost, will give some prices informations, of course those depend what you wanna do and where you are going to source the parts.
donor rep watch, on the m2m between 350€ to 950€ depend if the rep is one fully modded with AR and movement, better is buy one modded you could sold on spare parts the modded rep movement, and the watch have already AR crystal and cyclop.
dial and tachy, you could source for on eBay, it is where I bought the two mine, expect between 950€ to 1300€, be careful to buy a complete one with the sub plate of the dial, also need to mod the gen dial due to the movement.
hands, a difficult part to source but not necessary, you could mod the rep one, but for a complete gen handset expect 350€ to 500€, never see on eBay those, bought them from the dr.
the LWO movement, you could source for one easily on m2m or Ebay, a good one will cost you enter 350€ to 500€, just be care it come with the wheels of hours and chrono, if not have to buy on cousin.uk
edge date wheel, still not exist for the moment, I bought one to a member for 60€
single AR crystal from a member too for 90€, or you could take the 2*AR domi's made
a inner bezel alone between 300€ to 400€, you could use the rep one with some mod, I have do this but at last I have bought a gen black one, hard to source, see on eBay or from members or even the dr.
complete gen crown tube and pushers, more than 500€ and less than 600€, never see complete on eBay, bought mine from the dr.
a gen crown need a gen tube, see one on eBay for 450€ But without the tube, really expensive.
gen set of screws for case, never see on eBay, bought from the dr. at 300€
gen gaskets middle and case back for 250€, never see on eBay, bought from the dr too.
gen strap to an AP dealer for 480€, you could also find on m2m market for 260€ to 400€ perhaps less.
no hole claps, on m2m or from mikey price is between 35 to 60€
after you have the gen movement, you could or use a jaeger lecoultre 889 who is the same that the 2126 used in first generation of offshore but you will also need the Dubois depraz 2000 complication plate or buy a gen AP like I do, source for a huitieme, millenary, they use a 2126/2840 same than offshore, prices are between 3500€ to 5000€, but if you go on this way so choose a rare model to built and go on max gen has possible on changing like mine all the rep parts.
a jlc 889 alone is very rare to source, expect 1700€ to 2000€ without the Dubois depraz plate, so finally it will cost you the same price than buying a gen donor AP like I do.
the mods with water resist and all control will cost you between 750€ to 850€ depend what is include on, and I thought it is not really expensive due to the job must have be done to have the correct size case and to fit the LWO or gen AP movement, AR or not, after you have the spare parts like the stem for the gen AP movement but not expensive 25€.
for mine it was on two step, first on franken so 800€ With AR cyclop after fit the gen AP movement 300€ To a local watch maker.
for the first mods I have gone to Domi, very impressive guy, after I was too busy to made a trip to Germany I have give the watch to a watch maker here in France who was working for AP, so good to fit the gen movement and change the last rep parts by gen but not for the mods on the case.
go on a franken or on genestein built is a long way, it will cost a lot but for an exceptional watch, very far away from the rep donor has the franken or genestein one is really a true piece of art built, a franken is exceptional a genestein is a gen AP.
