How many get discounts from their AD

In retrospect.... Guys, we were all wrong. He was the Rolex-Messiah. HE BROKE THE ROLEX CODE! And we banned him.

Back in the day (5 years ago) I got 20% off PM models at Gearys and 10% on stainless not including Daytona. Today ya aint getting ANYTHING. Then again five years ago ADs couldn't give away 5167s.
I heard of discounts on Cartiers, Zeniths, Omegas, etc. But never on the Rolex or Tudor lines, they do sometimes give out free stuff such as Rolex chocolate, pouch, or watch roll.
I do believe VIP clients are given the option to buy more than 1 Rolex a year.
But 5 years ago things could have been totally different due to the market.

In 2009, bought a Anonimo Dual Time at AD for 30% off
In 2018, bought a AP Royal Oak at AD for 5% off

Oof, my b! Also to answer the thread, I've only been offered a discount (20%) on a strap at an Omega boutique, never a bigger AD, but I'm also not a big customer, so who knows.

At least in Italy is a nightmare...
You get discount on almost every brand except for Rolex or PP.
Just to give a reference on a Omega I was able to get around 10% during last months, for normal models (so no limited editions or snoopy etc)

Just bought my wife a Tudor for Father’s day, I know the irony. The shop would not budge on Tudors but would offer some discount on other brands they carry (omega, Tag, grand seiko).
You've got more chance of winning the lottery than getting discount on a 'hot' model Rolex. That being said 7-10 years ago discount could be had on TT models from an AD. I wonder if we will get back to that at some point in the future...
