Hello all bros here, i would like to get some advice and opinion from bros here who are more experience with dealer.

I have made an order with a TD here on the 18-12-2011 and also made the payment by paypal on the same day. A week or 8 days to be exact after payment sent, i did not receive any updates or QC photos from him so i send him an e-mail asking him what is the status of my order and when will he be able to send me QC photos. The next day i receive an e-mail from him with QC photos for my watches and he say that he can ship it out to me once i confirm it with him but there is only 5 out of the 7 watches that i have order in the QC photos so i quickly reply him an e-mail to inform him that it is still short of 2 watches for the QC photos. After checking the QC photos, i find that there is a problem with one of the watch so i send him another e-mail on the same night to let him know about this and request to change for another one, in the same e-mail i again remind him that there is still short of 2 watches for the QC photos. Few days later, i did not receive any e-mail from him so i again send him an e-mail to ask him when can he send me QC photos for the remaining 3 watches but still he did not get back to me. So i would like to ask all bros here for your opinion that is 2 weeks enough time for TD to get the watches that you have order and send QC photos for it or am i just too impatient?

Please feel free to give me your comment as i would like to know whether am i too impatient, Thank you.

Probably the length of time It takes a young boy to hop on a old rusty old bicycle, pedal through the busy streets to someones basement, pick it up, then pedal back.

...and then collect his 5 kidney beans for payment.

Who is the dealer?

I order it from Trevor. This is my second order from this forum and also the second order with him. As i am still new here, so i would like to know what is the standard time for TD to get the watch and send QC photos.

Hmm, it depends really. For a case such as yours a 7 watch order is quite a lot. There might be a backlog on one of the pieces, or more. The dealer might not be able to find it or has to wait a few days to see if it is available.

I have only had one dealing with Trevor so far and that was for his 112 special price. I imagine however that he had a stock of these ready to go as I received very prompt emails and within about 2 days of payment the watch was on its way to me. But dealers do not always hold stock of everything they advertise. It might be that in the time between advertising a new watch and someone ordering it, that it might be out of stock for a little time.

All I can say is that Trevor has a good reputation for prices, but not perhaps on speed of service or communication. But he will definitely get you what you want if you have patience. Key to this hobby is patience.

I ordered, and paid for, two watches and 4 boxes from Trevor in December. My payments cleared to him on 13th Dec for the watches, and 16th Dec for the boxes.

After much prodding I finally received QC pics, but the only update I have regarding timescale is that my stuff will be shipped "soon".

I also bought two watches from puretime in December. It took a long time for emails to be answered pre order, but once I paid everything was pretty good and reasonably quick.

I used Trevor as he was a little cheaper than Puretime, I'm not sure I will use him again though.

fast or clear communications are NOT a part of this hobby. Sadly, that seems true with most of the TDs (except WBK, Narikaa, and Hont in my experience).
Just keep on him and keep your communications very simple and short. If you write a diatribe of prose, they will simply ignore it because A) they don't have time, B) it makes you look like potentially a picky and demanding customer, and C) they don't understand English very well and can get lost in your novelette.
If you still don't have adequate responses within another week, get a Mod involved.

For the 2 watches that are missing out from the QC photos is a IWC Mark XVI in bracelet which is not in his catalog but i did ask him whether did he have this watch before i made order and he tell me he can get it from someone call H B TAN. The other one is a Cartier Pasha Seatimer which can be found from his catalog that i ask him whether can i add one more watch in the order before i made the payment and he say yes. So i thought he is at least confident that he can get the watches for me once i made the payment. I know that patience is the key to this hobby but at least the communicaton have to be there, imo.

It's not amazon or e-bay unfortunately. All dealers have some strengths and weaknesses. Some can get watches before others, but charge a little more. Some are much more active with communication but might cost a little more. Some are excellent on price but in order to get that price their communication can be slow.

It's nothing against the dealers we have. All have positives and negatives. A busy seller like Angus gets a lot of pre-orders and new Pams, but I know that communicaiton can take a little time due to being so busy. Trever has excellent prices, but I know that QC and communication can be a little poor at times. I think out of all dealers that I've used Marvelous Replica was best on average for awesome communication, great QC and decent prices.

I understand that it is best to keep the communications simple and short as i'm also from Asia and my english is not that good so basically they should be able to understand what i write but he just don't reply. Hopefully he can get back to me soon so that i will not have to get a Mod involved.

Heard a lot of great reviews and feedback for MR, its a pity they don't ship to my country.

I have not personally made any deal with Trevor yet, but based on the pm exchanges, I find that he is not too responsive. Probably the same old reason that now is the festive season, so everything just slows down. Not just Trevor, but maybe the factories and local postages etc. since he's a TD with great references from many members, I guess eventually you will be satisfied with your items ordered.

I think it is a little long the delay you have from Trevor
But Trevor is a good dealer and finally you will not have problems.
Perhaps he has some delivery problem from the maker or perhaps he has had some quality issues with the first items received. He cannot inform all customers about every issues he has. Please understand.
As other members said, communication and speed are not the characteristics of almost all dealers.
Keep in contact with Trevor is the only solution.
But I recommend you don't mail him every hour.

If you don't get happy. Next time try another dealer
Perhaps Marvellous. I don't now if they ship to Singapore
Anyway PATIENCE is the frst rule in this hobby
GOOD LUCK

Update! Receive an e-mail from Trevor 5 hours ago saying that he will send me QC photos of my watch and he have already got all the watches that I order.

I understand and I know that Trevor is a good dealer as this is the second time I have deal with him. And I won't go to the extend to send him an e-mail hourly as I know this will irritate them. As for MR, they confirm don't ship to Singapore as I have ask before but not sure what is the reason.

Anyway, thank to all bros here for your opinion and will keep all update when I receive the QC photos for the remaining watches.

Wish all a Happy New Year and all the best in 2012

Theres some pretty good deals to be had local to you so I'm surprised you need to buy from a online dealer.

Glad you got a email from them. My advice for future orders is ask all questions before sending funds. Like do you have watches on hand, how long will it take to get from your source, how long before you ship, and of course do you have the best sub?? You know questions like that.

You mean I can get all this rep watch easily at my location? Thanks for your advice, will ask everything clearly when I order next time.

I think 3 reps would be the most I would order at one time to avoid these problems especially if they also can't get the rep easily from the factory.
